  1. My theory about Orion slave women being green is it's not that they are born green but after they are purchased (or captured) they are then dyed (branded) green to signify the fact they are Orion slaves and to make their recapture easy should they escape. I wonder if slaves belonging to different species are branded with different colors...

Thats something I never thought about, that would be cool if that was how it really is! They certainly do need to do a story that involves the Orion Slave Girls, maybe the Enterprise rescues a bunch of them from Orion pirates!

  2. I dislike the slightly lesbian moments. I felt violated.

For some reason I thought this was funny, thanks for the laugh Borg

I would love to see an episode that featured the Orion Slave Girls and the Orion pirates that travel the universe selling them.

  3. Archer has demonstrated that he has very good flying capabilities in the past.  Flying is something he did before becoming a captain.  So in that respect he made the right decision.  Also, Trip and T'Pol have proven themselves to be just as capable as Archer.  If I were Archer I would trust the mission to them.  T'Pol has more space experince than Archer, and Trip has almost the same amount.  Archer made the right decision.  He decided that he would not order anyone else to die.  I respect that.  And I don't think it endangered the mission.  As for being caught and tortured, I think Archer knows his abilities: that he would never give the Xindi information that could result in the destruction of the entire human race.  He is too strong to allow that.

I agree with you 100% Archer did the right thing by going on this mission.

  4. If ENT is cancelled, it will entirely be the fault of Brannon Braga and Rick Berman who have shown inept leadership as the heads of the Trek franchise.

The show has suffered from blatant attempts to appeal to a younger male demographic with gratitous skin and T/A. It's as obvious as it is sad. The low ratings are a symptom of the decline of Trek since around 1994.

By trying to appeal to the more crass viewers, they have actually forgotten about Trek's inherant philosophy of being a character-driven intelligent show.

    It's a real shame.

    What a load of crap!

Enterprise is every bit as good as TNG or DS9 or Voyager for that matter.

  5. I am interested---not surprising---in the Pacific theatre in WWII.

For me its the Cival War, I love learning more about the events of that day. I'm also into the events that led up to the attack on Pearl Harbor. I've read many books and articles on this event.

  6. I've met James Doohan(Scotty), George Takei(Sulu), Tim Russ(Tuvok), Armin Shimerman(Qurak), Max Godencek(Rom),Patrick Stewart(Picard), Walter Koeneg(Checkov), William Campbell(Trelane), and the late DeForrest Kelly(McCoy)

  7. I don't want a break, I'd miss it too much....I still miss new TNG so I started on the books, most of them are so well written that the characters come to life for

me again. The same with VOY and it will be the same with ENT, but the TV is

what will keep it household name...even people who don't like it, know of it.

We would all miss it, but it still needs to take a break. Too many people are bashing it now and it would only get worse if they continued with another Star Trek series. I won't mind waiting to much, there are plenty of Star Trek books to read and most of them are very well written. The intrest will not die away, as someone else said look at the time between TOS and TNG, the interest in Star Trek lasted many years.

  8. I am moving up to the Outer Banks of North Carolina at the end of April. The Outer Banks is just a couple of hours away from Virginia Beach and Norfolk is the nearest big city so I'll be up that way from time to time once I move ( "Hey Jethro, lets go visit the big city, maybe there is a cement pond!")

I'll be working for "The Lost Colony" outdoor drama, VBG maybe I can swing you a couple of free tickets if you want. I'll keep you posted.

I lived on the Outer Banks before for 11 years and was a Disc Jockey for a popular country radio station in Nags Head.

For those that don't know much about the Outer Banks, they are the barrior islands off the coast of North Carolina. I will be living on Roanoke Island where the show is performed.

The show is about the Englishmens first colony in America, but the entire colony of 115 men women and children vanished, no sign of what happened to them has ever been found hence the name "The Lost Colony" Please feel free to check out the story on your computer at: http://www.coastalguide.com/packet/lostcolony01.htm

there are a few other sites about the LC and I encourage you to read about it. Its still one of the great mysteries of America.

  9. Yes I believe Star Trek needs to take a break. Its time to get the fans hungry again. After seeing some of the bashing of Enterprise and even Voyager before I think its time to chill for awhile. If they did another Star Trek show after Enterprise then you'll have a whole new group (or maybe the same group) that will not be happy and the bashing will start all over.

I think a break of a couple of years would do nicely.

  10. I'd like to see an episode where they take them back to Earth, or maybe even turn the colony into a Starfleet colony and bring the current population up to date with everything.

Thats a good idea, I like that!

As for Trip and his harmonica, why not take it with him? It could be something about Trip we did'nt know about before, that he always carries his harmonica with him. Maybe he likes to lean against the warp reactor and play a little tune from time to time!
