Love repelling. Haven't done it for about 14 years. Would take me awhile to convince myself to take that first step again though. Don't know if I could go down head first though! Repelling RULES. Great fun!

The Enterprise approaching a wormhole. As the Enterprise gets closer; a flash of light and colour and the Enterprise disappears. Then reappears to do it all again. In the background ships docking with DS9.
Cool hey?

At 6 pm it was 100 degrees F. Needless to say we were in the pool from 6 TO 7pm. Now it is midnight. Nice and cool but too tired to keep working.

In Australia we have our national anthem, 'Advance Australia Fair', which we sing before ceremonies and sporting events etc. Some schools sing it on parade in the mornings. Many people regard 'Waltzing Matilda' as our 'unofficial national anthem'.
Our national government at the moment is reminding all schools to fly the flag every day. The flag is proudly flown at sporting events, memorial days/parades etc.
We do not have a pledge as such like America.
I think most Australians are quietly patriotic. We fly the flag, sing the anthem and are proud of our nation and its achievements.

Yes. I have geekish tendencies. See Geek test thread.
Play Scattergories, Scrabble, Pictionary. Sort of like Trivial Pursuit. Would even like to try Gaming board games one day just to see what Tthey are like.
But...Canasta (card game) is much better than any board game.
Question: What would be your favourite famous painting or picture? Mine is John Everett Millais' Ophelia - Pre-Raphaelite Painter.

"Oh oh. I overdid it. Where's the antacid?"

Hope in a few more years my score will increase. They forgot to ask if all of your conversations include a reference to st, your hobby or si-fi books/movies.

The floor around my desk is perfectly fine! It's the mess behind the desk, around the lounge chairs, in the kitchen, up the hallway.......it's like a cancer... mess taking over everything! :(

I'm so so so thankful!!!!!!! First day of Spring.
13 mm of rain in two days. (slow soaking showers) 12 degrees C. (COLD) Two days ago it was so hot that you would have thought Summer had started. Even heard a frog croak today. Hopeful little fellow. First time I have heard a frog in months and months.
Hope more rain falls.

As a part of Australia's Science Week 2004 the Plastic Bag Famine Challenge is on.
Check out the site to see if you are addicted to using plastic bags. Investigate the harm they cause in the environment. See how many bags you use in a week, year, 10 years or a lifetime.
I've been using linen bags for shopping for the last 2 months. Now I'm flat out to find a plastic shopping bag in my cupboard. YIPPEE! Hope everyone takes the challenge.

A movie called Moonlight Mile with Susan Saradon, Dustin Hoffmann, Holly Hunter and Jake Gyllenhaal. Really good and puts you through a real range of emotions. Good story and softly spoken.
Another really good movie is A Simple Plan and also Arlington Road.
Going back a bit but you can't beat Fargo.

During college and highschool I loved drawing in charcoal, stippling, ink, pastels and crayons. Loved printing especially etching and screen printing.
But like other people, now I only get creative when I am stressed or say stuff it to the piles of work and take time off to draw.
Every now and then I embroider, cross stitch or do tapestry. Have begun to get interested in quilting. Creating free quilt designs with silk painting and using other skills like embroidery tweek my interest. My sewing skills are woeful though.
Play guitar but again woefully.
Like creating tasks for the kids to do in class using their technology skills and creativity.
