swtarssinmyeyes (nose) but now I'm cross-eyed!
Type just as well with my elbow and nose as I do with my fingers!!! Just as many typos!
Glad I live on my own. Looked rather silly typing with my nose! Thanks for the laugh.

Was hooked when I saw The Voyage Home with my boyfriend at the time. Since then have become more and more obsessed. My mother will watch episodes and even came the The Star Trek exhibition at the museum with me. My dad thinks it is silly. My sister asks me if it is all I ever watch and think about. Mind you she watches the shows with her husband. My work mates think it is a waste of time. My friend was into the shows. We used to write letters addressed to each other as Delta and Alpha quadrant. When I would travel to his place he would label his driveway as DS9 so I could dock my car 'the little red shuttle' there. Can't seem to find anyone obsessed with Trek. Will keep looking though.

No personal unicorn stories but have always loved the book, "The Last Unicorn". The images of the red bull charging at the unicorn and the unicorns overcoming the fortress as they leave the sea are unforgettable.

Thanks for posting this. Very interesting. Makes you think.
On a recent visit to Antarctica and the Sub-Antarctic I was alarmed at the amount of rubbish; especially plastic of all sorts, rope, fishing line, old parts of fishing implements washed up on the shore. This was really evident on Barren Island at the Falkland Islands. On South Georgia we encountered two fur seals with rope and fishing line around their necks. We all need to remember that the ocean currents carry our rubbish a long way and that rubbish impacts greatly and cruelly.
The impact of long line fishing on the albatross populations was also another issue we encountered on our trip; disturbing.

Just wanted to pass on my congratulations. I just downloaded 2 parts of In Harm's Way and stopped the video tape playing Enterprise just so I could catch the next part as soon as it was downloaded. Way to go guys. It's obvious that you love ST and are doing it justice. Live the dream. Great job!

Agree with you whole heartedly on Spock's Brain.

I know it is not on the list, but would anyone consider 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' original version of course? I always see it on lists as a sci-fi you must see... Just caught it last year, the story was good but the acting was stilted.
My aunty who I would never have guessed watched sci-fi movies recommended Metropolis. I'll try to catch that one when I can.
As for cultural influence Star Wars.
As for story: Blade Runner. Poses a lot of questions for our future
and 2001 Space Odyssesy
As for excellent real life animation and story about modern issues would anyone consider Final Fantasy?

I find it really disappointing that Enterprise is finished before her time. Maybe they are right and there are only a certain amount of sci-fi fans and with all the other shows we are spoiled for choice nowdays.
I don't know about you guys but I found the arc storylines difficult due to me missing episodes or the interrupted scheduling of the show due to other events deemed more relevant or important by television programmers.
I'll miss Captain Archer and his crew. Thank you everyone on the show for their efforts and I think it takes a lot of courage to keep the Star Trek Universe going in these ratings and money driven times. Oh well, there's the DVD's at least. I hope the finale does the show justice.

Haven't been here for a while so I'll put in a few:
Mid February
Pereto Mereno Glacier near El Calafate. Towering glacier of turquoise blue crashing and calving into the turquoise water below.
Mid February 2005
Sunrise at El Chalten Patagonia. The golden glow of the sun reflected off the mountains with the full moon above the mountain and brilliant white clouds scudding over the mountains.
3 March 2005
The most pale pastels of blue, pink and grey reflected in a misty overcast afternoon, with low grey heavy clouds hanging just above pastel tinged icebergs. Trails of grey etched into the blue grey calm ocean with whale tails and seal heads popping up in the most wonderful silence you have ever heard. (Antarctic Convergence just entering Antarctic Peninsula)
4 March 2005
A brilliant red/orange sunset over Lemaire Head (tall and vast laced with glaciers and snow) with pastel pink icebergs floating past in a colbalt/violet sea. Black whale tails lifting and diving back into the water. (Lemaire Channel Antarctic Peninsula)
6 March 2005
The most beautiful carved and sculptured icebergs of all shapes and sizes.
14 March 2005
Wandering albatross courting on Prion Island. One albatross with his wings fully ourstretched before the South Georgian landscape of turquoise sea, emerald tussock and grey rugged mountains. (South Georgia)
9 June 2005
A pod of five humpback whales close off Hastings Point. Tail slapping, pectoral slapping and an incredible breach. (Home)
9 July
A beautiful winter sunrise. A band of brilliant orange along the horizon with deep colbalt/prussian blue above. A rusted tank stand in front contrasting beautifully and a planet shining (sparkling) above. (Home)
Have many, many more......It is really worth stopping and enjoying the scenery.

My sister thinks its the only show I watch! Everytime I ring her or she rings me she says, that's not Star Trek on again is it? I watch my DVD set most of the time or the taped episodes I have.
Most of the time ST is on but it is fairer to say I'll watch any sci-fi show/movie and then normal tv.

Well I'm going against the grain here. It had me dancing! Didn't mind it! Go Bill.

I'd have spock singing the bilbo baggins song B) http://www.alteringtime.com/features/misc/?p=baggins but I wouldn't be one of the stupid dancers B)OMG I bet Leonard wishes that song would remain buried. That song could only be made in the 60's/70's I'm afraid. Thanks for sharing Spockstellaiter.
