  1. I think I may have to pin VBG as causing my new weight gain. I think in the last month I have “blossomed” in the bottom a good 5 pounds. B)  All due to sitting around at this computer and posting here. If this keeps up, I’m gonna be a blimp by the time the convention comes!  :)

Now, you may think the solution  is to just not be here as much. Well, I did that on Saturday. I was not here but for a few minutes and when I came back LATE that night, I found that our beloved leader went and gave me a SECOND forum to Mod while I was away! :)

I scared to death what would happen if I left for two days!  B)

So, have any of you notices an increase in your waistline since joining here?  :)

ALL HAIL OUR LEADER!  :o

Want to tighten your buns while checking the forums?

Stand behind the chair, with your feet on the floor, toes pointed out slightly, shoulder width apart and your hands on top of the chair's back. Breathe in deep so your stomach fills out. Squeeze your buns together and push your pelvis forward and up using your abdomen muscles. At the same time breathe out pushing the abs towards your spine. You only use your ab muscles to lift your pelvis up and forward and this in turn lifts you up on your toes. Lower yourself down so your feet are back on the floor.

At first you may not be able to get up on your toes but as your abs get stronger you can! Only do this 2-3 times a week- one set = 15 times- in week 1 and 2 repeat set once, week 3 -6 repeat sets twice. Don't need to work hard- want to reshape not bulk up buns!

Your buns will reshape and look beautiful!

  2. 1st choice: tea, then coffee

Then scotch and ginger ale, Pimm's No. 1 Cup and lemonade and a slice of lime. 1/2 nip screamer- cheap drunk.

Occassionally have a beer- Hahn Ice. Have tried a Guiness (sp?) had it with a beef and guiness pie topped in mashed potato at an Irish Pub- beautiful!

  3. Lollypop:

~You set your garage door opener to stun.

You've just reminded me about the time when I first bought my new vaccuum cleaner home, a LG Shark. When I saw the handle I couldn't help myself. It was so much like a phaser that I sat there and 'phasered' everything in sight including the cat for about 15 mins.

How embarrassing! The things you do when you're addicted to Star Trek and no-one is watching!

When you're single with no kids and consider buying a people mover because its model name is Voyager! B)

  4. May 12, 2044

at the age of 73 years old.

On that date you will most likely die from:

    Drowning (29%)

    Cancer (24%)

    Heart Attack (13%)

    Homicide (8%)

    Suicide (5%)

    Horrible Accident (5%)

I'd hate to think what I'd look like in a bathing suit at this age! I cringe enough now!

  5. A month ago my friend downloaded the free Morman family tree program for me and since then I have found it to be very addictive. Is there anyone out there who is into this hobby and do you have any tips or sites which you have found useful?

    Big Band Era- Glen Miller

Absolutely hate hip hop, rap, techno (dance music)....

  7. I've caught myself thinking like this.....

When you think: I'll just turn on the Deflector Shield (Roo Shoo) when driving at night to prevent you hitting the big blighters! ( I luv kangaroos!)

When you refer to the town you live in as the Alpha Quadrant and your friend's place the Delta Quadrant! And refer to the route to get there as a wormhole!

When you arrive home and think the shuttle has landed!

  8. Just heard this on the news as I opened this forum to reply. In England someone has stolen 8000 copies (A$350 000 value) of the new Harry Potter book three days before its official release.

I have read The Philosopher's Stone and found it okay but quite slow. Had to remember it was written for children so consequently I haven't tried to read the Chamber of Secrets.

First movie was good except for it was a little too long and again slow- the effects were good. The second movie I found to be more exciting and suspenseful. Loved the Gryphon staircase leading the Dumbledore's Room.

Now that I have seen the second movie I am considering trying to read the rest of the series.

My kids (classroom) have now moved onto Lemony Snickett (A Series of Unfortunate Events Series) and Emily Rodda (Deltora Series) and love them as much as Harry Potter.

  9. Love watching the cumulonimbus clouds building, the brilliant white head, dark grey bottom. Love to watch the lightning when the storm is far off but if it comes close I'm inside. I have a healthy fear of lightning strike.

Saw a documentary on lightning on the weekend..had a man who was fishing, the lightning hit his carbon fibre fishing rod, and traveled down through to his feet. The lightning melted every bit of resin away and so that the fishing rod was a mass of loose carbon fibres, the zip in his jeans had melted and impaled his stomach, 80 % of his legs were covered in 2nd degree burns and each boot had eight perfect holes. His body swelled to three times its original size...he described the feeling as though someone had his legs in a vice and as though his arms were on fire after he finally felt them again.

Nice to watch, hope I never get struck! Also glad we don't get tornadoes with our thunder storms.

  10. The lure for Pay TV is that every week I can watch all versions of Trek with really good reception.

Our free to air TV reception is fair to poor and we only receive 3 channels. Pay TV is great but it gives you too many channels to choose from. It would be great if you could customise the packages they offer so you can cut down on the cost and get value for money. As it is you end up evolving into a part of the lounge chair and I know from experience!

Think of the positives of not having Pay...

    You save - $45 (AD) per month = $540 a year

That means you can buy 2 1/2 DVD season sets of your favourite trek each year and have them forever or go on a holiday.

You get out and exercise- especially during the blitz of Reality TV on free to air TV.

You don't tape every show you like on Pay and end up filling your house with videos!

In my area I can get free to air TV through satellite- which means I have very clear reception and 5 channels to choose from. Lucky my employer paid for the satellite dish.

  11. I'm enjoying Enterprise and look forward to it every week. I like the ship and how the interior is rather like a submarine. I like watching every week and discovering a new part of the ship and realise that it has a touch of the TOS Enterprise eg- T'Pol's science station.

Some episodes like Critical Care/Desert Crossing have the classic Trek touch and I enjoy those episodes. I like the fact that these people are the ground breakers/explorers and will make mistakes and will need to tackle issues head on.

The temporal cold war- just keeps me wondering who is behind it and why....I suppose I'll find out soon.

Last of all and the most important quality is that I like the crew and find them to be an interesting lot. I hope there will be interesting character developments over the seasons.

LIVE LONG AND PROSPER ENTERPRISE! :o
