Intersting article!
I've found that for whatever reason that I like the taste of generic diet cola better than name-brand. Wonder if this is saying that my brain says I'm cheap!

I'm listening to the Red Sox game on the internet! I really want them to stomp those Yankees a little bit! :)
-
Heck YES All of them! (when I can afford it)
I probably will have to buy one set at a time because I'm not exactly swimming in piles of cash, but I will get them all eventually.

I loved it! I was happy to see the resolution in this ep... the Xindi story arc last season had me expecting that this storyline would drag on and on as well!
Click For SpoilerI agree that the Nazi propaganda video in the beginning of the show was both chilling and compelling. That by itself had me hooked to the tv.Click For SpoilerI was also almost sad to see Silik die. With the respect he displayed for Archer in the end, you could almost see him becoming an ally in the future.Excellent episode. I am looking forward to the rest of the season!

Awesome!

AOD :)
During the two worst depressions of my teen years, I resorted to burning myself. My tools of choice were hot candle wax or a knife heated over a flame. I still have some light scarring ten years later... now I just tell people they are from grease burns at the restaurant I used to manage.
I was lucky that I had one really wonderful friend who guided my through my worst times. Please seek help from a counselor if you can. I went as far as to ask my family to put me in therapy, but we couldn't afford it. I got through my problems, but it would have been so much easier if I had been able to get the counseling I needed.
Feel free to leave me a PM anytime. I am a very open person and will happily discuss my past with another who needs support!

I have a case of padded envelopes, overflow boxes of CD's for my home business, a garbage can, tape gun, trash items that apparently missed the trash can (a pretzel and wadded up paper), my CPU, cover to my CPU (I've been messing with it's innards again), power strip, wires to my stereo and a phone book.
Not nearly as crowded as the top of the desk!

Red Sox all the way! I always cheer for them when my team is having a bad year!
-
I'm so sad to hear this! Christopher Reeve was a great man and a true inspiration.
My condolences to the family at this difficult time.

I like many of the above. I have very diverse tastes in music, so it's quite possible I'll have a song or performer in common with most people here!

People mistreating children and animals are my two biggest ones!
Also people who act like everyone is there to serve them, drunk drivers and a long list of other things.
Racism is another big one... I spent a bit of time in New Orleans last year and was very uncomfortalbe (to saythe least) about people's attitudes.
I'm an easy-going person, no dirty joke can shock me... but people's behaviour sometimes is completely inexcuseable!

It's not super-funny, but I just adore saying "megalomaniacal."

I was curious about this! Thanks for answering my question... I figured it was for donating to the board, but I was unsure of how to do so!

Kyra Ashleigh is an alter-ego I use in my writing.
I originally was looking for a name that had an Irish sound to it, as I am of Irish background. Kyra is a modification of Kira from DS9... I like strong, opinionated female characters as I am one!

Thank you for getting that song stuck in my head!
-
Oh my!
Some of those are just so wrong!

They shot our ships,And made us scoff,
Then sent Tribbles,
To piss us off..."
Is that a take off on Maiden "Run To The Hills" or am I way off in my assumption?
-
It was good to watch, but in my mind, it raises too many questions about the Star Trek world as we know it. For that reason, I gave it a 7.
-
I prefer Emissary over Encounter becaus it seemed like the characters in the DS9 season didn't have that awkward phase of trying to hit their stride like the TNG characters had.
TNG is still my favorite series, but Emissary is too awesome!

Hmm... I think that Klingons would appreciate the music of bands like Iron Maiden and Queensryche. Both bands tell stories in their songs and are very heavy.
One thing I'm positive of is that Klingons do not like showtunes!

I have a huge desk and it's a huge mess!
I have from left to right...
...stack of bills... empty bubble envelopes for my home business... external hard drive that should go back in the laptop case since I'm not using it... postal scale... hair doo-dads... box cutter... cell phone.... my COFFEE (the important part)... cough drops (I woke up sick today)... ciggies (another smoker here)... router that I can't find the power supply for... outgoing mail stack... monitor and keyboard (finally to the middle of the desk)... a package of blank CD's... stereo reciever (which is wired through the pc so I have an 80 gig audio jukebox)... negatives and negative holders for my film scanner.... business cards... pile o' junk mail... printer.
I'll spare you the full list of what's on the upper shelves. This used to be my hubby's office desk, but when it wouldn't fit into his new office space it became mine!
As for decorations, I have my cat figurine collection lined up on the top shelf, except for the really fragile ones, which I keep in a cabinet because my cats like to knock stuff off my desk!

I'm sorry you have lost contact with your family!
Have you tried running their names through a search engine? Sometimes you'll be able to get their email addresses if you find the right site.
There's lots of pay sites where you can look people up as well.
Best of luck to you on your quest!

I voted for classic rock... especially since our local radio stations are calling 80's music classc now! I tend to stay away from classifying music... I like some of almost everything.
