  1. I'm tired of these fast food commercials trying to make their food sound like its something new. Also, the ones that make their food as a better choice than a real meal? I could list at least 50 commercials that do that.

I dont need a commercial to tell me about fast food. If I want an overcooked pile of grease, I know where the resturants are, and I'll go get one.

This is what I have to say to these resturants...Wendy's, Its NOT better there!!! MacDonalds...I'm HATING it!!...Burger King...I will have it MY way...somewhere else!!...Taco Bell...Make a run for the border...if there's no Taco Bell there!! Krystal...There are times when only the great taste of Krystal will do...When I want to have 3 alarm heartburn JUST FOR FUN!!...and last but not least, Hardees....How the last place you'd ever go for a burger, WILL STAY THE LAST!!!!

Now that I have that off my chest, didnt Spike TV run "All Good Things" last week as well as this week?

  2. To that time the only thing I had to "tape" a show was an old tape recorder. I put the microphone in front of the TV and taped only the words and sounds. But to do that everyone else had to remain silent.

Unbelievable Stardreamer..! So, I wasn't the only one who did that back then?! I taped a lot of TOS episodes onto cassete tapes and would listen to them all the time. Like you said everybody had to be quiet during those tapings..Incredible how far we have come..Now, we have DVDs that we can just pop in and watch whatever Trek episode that we want..

Doomsday and Devil are 2 great episodes and are worthy of high TOS praise..

I did that too. In fact, I was listening to one of my taped TOS episodes when my dad rolled up to the door with the fork lift bringing in our first VCR. lol

  3. This has been brewing for months, and what I heard about Howard Dean's comments, and the media's coverage of the fight yesterday in Iraq just put me over the top. Yes, political 8247 is back.

First of all....Howard Dean can go to hell. He had the audacity to undermine President Bush's visit to the troops over Thanksgiving by saying that it was only as a result of political motivation. He said, and I quote "It was nice, but how can he(President Bush) justify the fact that these brave men and women shouldnt even be in Iraq in the first place." He went there to improve morale, and raise spirits. Only a representative of a political party who is fighting for anything to make the president look bad would undermine a great gesture like the Bush did. If word of that got out while he was there, President Bush would have possibly been the first president to get killed by an enemy we were at war with, and if our media had gotten wind of the visit, they would have broadcasted it all ofer the world. President Bush would have been a sitting duck.

Now, onto our media...All they want to do is report every single soldier who gets killed there. If they could show pictures of every corpse, they would. They dont give a damn about anything good at all. You dont have to look very hard to see that they are worse than scavengers by picking out only the negative reports from this war. It was great when we had embedded reporters there, who didnt have time to sit there and filter out the good. They saw something, and they reported on it. Now, all they do is get reports in from Iraq, good and bad, but they CENSOR the good. I'm tired of it, and I hope each and every reporter and polititian who is doing this gets a serious dose of reality soon.

Before April, on ST.com, I posted that I was going to join the military after I had a shoulder surgery. I'm still not 100%, and I'm not happy about it. I know quite a few soldiers who are in Iraq and Afghanastan from the 101st Airborne Division. I dont know anything about what has been going on there that has been good except for it was 101st soldiers who killed Quasay, and Uday Hussein. BUT, I do know that it was 101st soldiers who's bodies were mutilated last week by Iraqis. What's wrong with this picture? I have a good friend there who was keeping in touch with me regularly. He stopped emailing me 2 months ago. I feel that he is still alive, but I'm sure if he died, the media would know his name...as well as every other soldier KIA before the soldier's family would know.

Our media has no soul. They, and the democratic presidential hopefuls are exploiting our soldiers lives for their own good.

They can ALL go to hell. :o :tank:

  4. My vote is for the Titans. The Chiefs cant stop the run. The Titans have a good running game, not to mention a great running QB. They can also stop the run. Lets keep this going through the playoffs, and I will post a board favorite the night before each playoff game, and the Superbowl. I will also keep track of who is still in on the poll, and who is not, by posting results eack week based on who's pick is eliminated vs who's pick is still there.

  5. As of right now, these are the teams who could make it in the NFC. Who is your pick and why?

I voted Eagles. They have been the strongest team in the NFC over all. I still think the Superbowl champ will come from the AFC though.

  6. The Probowl in Hawaii doesnt even sell out. What makes you think an NFL team would? When the XFL was in its ONE season...which I did watch because I love football...I thought that Alaska and Hawaii needed teams if the league survived...It didnt, but these are the names I came up with for the XFL ONLY! The Honolulu Hellions, and the Anchorage Anger. What do you think?

  7. Really? Because here the Oilers get huge amounts of coverage, the Eskimoes get a bit less coverage but still alot, and high school football gets virtually ZERO coverage unless it is in some high school newspaper or something like that. Lol.

The Oilers? Arent they the Titans now? Just kidding

    NFL ALL THE WAY, BABY!!!!!!

    GO DOLPHINS!!!

  8. I'd love to work on NFL Primetime with Chris Berman...

but seriously, I have had a taste of my dream job. I have been a tour manager for a band from England called Grand Drive. I was in the right place at the right time to get that. It was hard work, but I was completely im my element, and I loved every minute of it...except for when the band's record label rep's wife came on to me...I had a hard time turning her down.... But, that's another story.

  9. The Tribbles were the best. Shatner's expression when all the tribbles fell on him was priceless....and the punishment..."Pick up EVERY tribble." That was great. "But, that would take..." does anyone remember Spocks estimation of the time? I dont. It also led to a great DS9 episode...which I still havent seen all of.

  10. We all know about ST4, and the "double dumb@$$ on you", but were there any others? What I mean is that it seemed in TNG like they would use "bad" words just because they could...example... In Hide and Q, when Wesley is impaled, Riker shouts "DAMNIT! DAMNIT DAMNIT TO HELL!!"

Thats not exactly the proper use of the word damnit in my opinion. I say "Damnit to hell!" if I'm changing the oil in my truck, and I drop the filter, or for something equally annoying. Not when something terrible happens. Can anyone think of other examples? Data's comment when the saucer section was crashing was appropriate. I'm talking about improper use of the swear...if there is such a thing. lol

  11. ..........CONTAINS SPOILER INFO!!!!!!!!!>>>>>>>>>

Twilight was the doomsday episode that gets worked out at the end. I liked it, but we've seen basically the same story twice on TNG (2 episodes, and First Contact) and quite a few times on Voyager. I did like it though. I thought the Ceti Alpha 5 thing was kind of out there until I realized that at the end of the movie, none of it was to have happened. It did back up the reason Kirk chose Ceti Alpha 5 for Khan though. Also, I noticed that the sun in that system looked pretty unstable. lol

I dont think I'm going to be looking forward to next weeks episode though. The whole wild west thing has been played out in Star Trek. The TOS episode was good, and at least they were on a holodeck for the wild west episodes in TNG. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm expecting the first letdown of this season next week.
