  1. I know, its sad how the proformence of the Hemi has deminished ::quark::

    Ready for the scorecard?

My first car was a Pinto...Ford, no explanation necessary

Second, an 83 Econoline...Ford...was a good van, but I traded it foooor...

87 Cougar XR7...Mercury, but still a Ford. It died when the crappy computer died, so nothing worked right 150,000 miles on it. Traded it for an 87 Aerostar....Ford...Once again, the computer died..99,000 miles on it. Next, it was an 82 Granada...Ford (I was having a rough time financially)...Engine blew up with about 120,000 miles on it. Next, 86 T-Bird...Ford...Once again, the computer died...125,000 miles on it. Noticing a trend here? Next, an 88 Econoline...I got ripped off on that one. It was crap when I got it. Next, an 89 Chevy S-10...Best vehicle I ever owned until I got the Intrepid. I put almost 200,000 miles on it. It had about 90,000 miles when I got it. Its transmission died. Next, I was in financial trouble again, so I bought an 85 Dodge Ram. I traded it in on the Intrepid. It had 350,954 miles on it when I traded it in.

So, you can see why "Found On Road Dead" works for me, and why I like Dodges now.

  2. Hey watch it, ikbef, I just bought an '04 Intrepid a couple weeks ago :quark: . Try getting that acceleration in most of the other generic (spoken: "cheaper than a Bimmer") cars out today. What color ya got, 8472?

Snow, eh? I like it, but moreso when it actually got me out of going to things. Living ON the college campus kinda kills that option :b-day: . I still love it over Christmas break and for the occassional snow-cream drink, but for now, you can keep it. :b-day:

Its silver. I love it, and I STILL CANT GET OUT OF MY PARKING LOT. lol

What day did you get yours? I got mine on Thursday, Feb. 12.

  3. I dont know how many of you watched the weather reports yesterday, but the Carolinas got hit hard by 2 snowstorms. The Charlotte area, where I live got hit the hardest. There was close to 2 feet of snow, and not only can I not move my car due to the snow, even if I could, I'd be blocked in by another car that tried to move, and got stuck. I cant go to work, so I'm using a sick day. Maybe I'll go make a snowman if I get too bored.

2 ft of snow! Man you're lucky to only get 2 ft of snow! We had a blizzard that left a meter on the ground, I had to climb out the window because I couldn't get out the door :quark:

But, I still cant get my car out of by apartment building's parking lot. How do you do that?

  5. I've been divorced for almost 4 years now, and for some reason, I have dreams at least once a week that I get back together with her.  That will never happen. I also have recurring dreams about being on a ship that sinks, or some other scenario like being on the beach when a tidal wave hits. I always end up in the water. Those dreams are always very vivid, and intense.

  6. so THATS what those things are! I dunnow, that ranks up with the Domino's Pizza Cheesey Domino's Dots commercials as far as the "Stupid Commercial" factor goes.

While those commercials are stupid, they are hilarious. The Domino's dots commercials are stupid, and in NO way whatsoever, funny. lol

  7. I dont know how far Quizno's goes in the USA, but if you dont know, it is a sub sandwich chain. They have VERY good subs, and they are a little pricy, but well worth it.

Their commercials have 2 mice singing. They look rabid, and they have HUGE eyes, and teeth. You'd have to see them to understand because I cant explain it, so here's the link.

I think these commercials are great. What do you think?

  8. I enjoyed it. I dont see why there is so much contraversey. There were a few times when I started having that strange feeling in my stomach that shoots up your back when you were about to vomit, but NOT because of the gore, but because of not being able to believe that someone would be capable of torturing another person. I have seen slasher films that were more gory. There were, however people who left the movie right before the crucifiction, and I heard quite a few people crying throughout the movie. I even got choked up a few times.

The Jews were according to the Bible responsible for demanding that Jesus be crucified, and Pilate showing sympathy, and not wanting to sentence him to death. So, why the contraversey? Because Mel Gibson made a movie about what Christians believe. If they made a movie about Muslim, or Buddhist teaching, no one would care, and it would be hailed as a great movie showing how "diverse" we Americans are. But, the "in" thing to do in modern pop culture is to blast Christianity. Freedom of speech goes right out the window when Christianity is involved.

The actor who played Jesus was great. I cant remember his name, but he played Edmond Dantes in "The Count of Monte Cristo". In a stroke of irony, this is his second movie where he is whipped. There is also, a demon who taunts Jesus throughout the movie, and I thought the symbolism of this demon was very well done.

The actor who played Judas deserves an Oscar in my opinion, as does the one who plays Jesus.

Everyone knows what is in the Bible, so going into detail about the plot would be pointless. I give it   :dude::dude: of :dude::dude::dude::dude: for accuracy, and a very good, thought provoking, well done, and powerful movie.

What I took from the movie was the feeling that I had forgotten...or maybe never even knew...the magnitude of what it meant for Jesus to die on the cross for OUR sins.

Oh, I almost forgot...The movie is in another language. Hebrew, or Italian, I believe. There are English subtitles, but that doesnt take away from the movie at all. In fact, it seems to add something to it.

    Go see it.

  9. I heard this on the radio today. Seems that a man asked Charter Communications to turn off his TV cable 4 years ago. They for whatever reason, didnt. He is now suing Charter, saying that they are to blame for his wife gaining 50 pounds, and his kids are lazy channel surfers, and He, and his family are now television addicts.

    My view...

I think that Charter should slap him with a bill for 4 years of service. If I asked Charter to turn off the cable, and they didnt, I'd be calling them again because I wouldnt want to be charged due to an oversite....but thats just me. :assimilated:
