1. It seems that (more or less) the SS Enterprise (the one with the ring structure) is canon now, but aside from that and the design of the ship there is not much we know about it. While there was info in the past about it's size and capacity, the figures given were technologically unfeasible (unless Daniels built 31st century tech into the ship, which is even MORE unlikely).

Not only that but we don't even know what class name it derives from, is it an odd decendant of the DY lineage, or is it an early or less advanced vulcan ship?

If you're wondering why i even mention the DY class, here's a link to an interesting Treknology article: http://www.treknology.org/dy.htm .

  2. Ok, here's how to modify the sensitivity of the touchpad (if you have windows xp, if you have an apple computer good luck): First go to Control Panel, select Printers and Other Hardware, now select mouse and a window similar to display properties will appear, select the Touch tab and you should find the sensitivity settings.

  3. Pulaski and Deanna: Pulaski because she seems to go out of her way just to annoy/piss-off people, and Deanna just cause i don't want to give her an easy time at trying to read my mind (you never know, she might be possessed by yet ANOTHER spirit that day  or worse). I'd be GLAD to be in the same turbolift as wesley, at least i can relate to the guy  (shame on you people for hating wes, he stands up for geeky teens everywhere :o).

  4. I don't watch late night shows much (Mostly because everyone is in bed and I'd get hollered at if I put the TV on  ) But when I do watch them I like Leno

I heard Craig Kilborn wouldn't be a talk show host anymore....

Oh yeah, I like The Daily Show also.

Also listen to late night conspiracy radio of

George Noory Coast to Coast AM, but that doesn't count...

Also like Space Ghost Coast to Coast. :o I guess other people might say it would be stupid, but I found it funny at times...

    250298

As far as late night, same as Star Ship Delta but minus the hollering. I also listen to Coast to Coast Am (it used to be called Coast to Coast with Art Bell drwho :)), and on halloween it's Ghost to Ghost, not Space Ghost Coast to Coast :).

  5. Good ones Eris, especially that last one . Here are my favorites:

Only two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the former - Albert Einstien. <---- so true it's scary

Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth - Sherlock Holmes (by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. <---- definately my all time favorite :hammer:

It is difficult to answer when one does not understand the question. - Sarek <---- Hehehe, yup.

"The butt you kick today, maybe the butt you need to kiss tomorow."

Unknown. <---- Wish i knew this one in middle school :P

And last but not least; J. O'Neil *while looking outside of the scout ship at earth as the asteroid nears collision*: "Carter, i can see my house!!!"

  6. Actually, i was serious about that, my gf really would kick their butts . She is so smart, beautiful and loving they wouldn't have a chance in the world  :blush 2: *you hear me Q, bring us together NOW!!! :)*.

  7. Another one of my fav scemes would have to be Dining scene in ST VI "We need breathing room"-chang, "Earth Hitler 1938"-Kirk, "I beg your pardon?"-chang.

    225467

Yeah, i love that one (just saw that movie last night). I don't recall chang responding, but Spock's face after kirk said that was priceless .

 If I were human I would tell them to go to hell.................. If I were human.

                                    SPOCK- STAR TREK 6

    225475

Actually, it's this way; Spock: If i were human, i believe the response would be... Go, to hell... If i were human.

Here's one from ST:FC. Data: Sir, i believe i speak for everyone when i say, To hell with our orders *everyone shows big smirk just before Ent-E jumps to warp*.

  8. I don't care about the olympics because it's little more then glorified sports like WEAREBORG4102 said, that and it's only a mere shadow of it's past self. There's basically more emphasis on winning then there is on the values and principles the olympics was founded upon, which is quite a difference from the Special Olympics (i think i got that right).

  9. You know, i've been wondering where the Eugenics War fits in myself, but then being the semi-philosophical guy i am i got to wondering (warning, this is gonna get really, really DEEP :naughty:).

At first i was thinking about it being the same as WW3 myself, for the exact same reason as "it's supposed to be in the future", and at current we don't have the technology to create clones, at least in public.

This is where things start to get a bit wacky, cause as there are reports about ufo's there's as much "info" on secret organisations, advanced technology and the like that we COULD have had a Eugenics War during the 90's, but then there is always the talk (in Star Trek) that these genetic "supermen" took control of the majority of the arabic/african/asian portion of the world, in such a way that it would be basically impossible NOT to notice.

And then there's the idea that the Star Trek universe isn't even ours. I know this sounds crazy, but couldn't it be possible that the Star Trek universe as we know it is actually an off-shoot of our universe, as are so many other shows and thus why various people seem to "cling" to some shows while others "cling" to different shows?

This idea of various universes actually came from other sources, but i thought "could it be this is what's going on with ours? That perhaps we're a focus point in time and space of a sort?"

So, it''s really anyone's guess which is the most likely solution. But perhaps it'd be best to go with the simplest one, ie the Eugenics War being PART of WW3 as per the suggestion of Ahkam's Razor (sorry if i screwed up the term, i haven't seen it spelled out yet :naughty:).

  10. ENTERPRISE. If you look closely enough at some TOS episodes, you might notice some 1701 crew members wearing familiar looking one-piece jumpsuits. ;-)

    208506

:naughty: Really?!!! Sheesh, where are those pop-up balloons when you really need them? :naughty:

  11. Umm, bysty, i was surprised by your wording of "it was a long time ago", i don't have a problem with people giving notice and doing whatever. And yeah, agreed on getting back to topic.

Anyways, i'm actually more of a fan of games turned into movies, at least with the complex games. I have been kind of interested in the whole Resident Evil story, but i don't want to bother going through all the effort of playing the game just to "get it."

  12. Just a little too close to Sept. 11 for me. Anyways I have school....

    249580

Dude. It was what? 3 years ago? I'm pretty sure you won't go to hell if you watch a movie on the day before.

Not being insensitive or anything. Yeah, it was a horrendous thing to happen, but honestly it was a long time ago and I think everyone can live their lives again.

    251322

3 Years is a long time ago? Have you flipped or something?? :dude::eek:

Sheesh, if that's how most people think no wonder this country's in trouble :dude:. Seriously, i don't exactly think sept 10th is a day to get all depressed about (unless it's your birthday and you really don't get any notice (that's my birthday btw)), but isn't saying that was a long time ago just ignorant?? -_-

  13. And that's how revolts come about.  When people are fed up with feeling inferior, they fight back.

    250427

Beedrill, if that's true then i guess the USA had no reason to fight the british in the late 1700's :(. In actuality, only a small portion of revolts occur through the feeling of inferiority.

Back to topic: as far as why i think humans are inferior; lack of maturity, and i mean maturity in all it's respects. I haven't exactly been adequately mature myself but some among my peers have been lacking it so much i'm just ashamed of my generation. But i've also heard that the average intelligence of an american (which is a portion of maturity) is somewhere around that of a 12 or 13 year old, which is pathetic.
