Lt. Commander Data stands in his quarters, before the glass case that houses his emotion chip. He watches it spin, considering, for the first time, actually installing it.
Yesterday, in Ten-Forward, he had once again failed to understand a joke that Lt. Kellerman had told. Geordi and Lt. Takla had laughed for almost a full minute, but Data had just sat there in silence.
It is seven minutes and 35 seconds before his duty shift begins, so Data bends down to give the cat at his feet a final pat before leaving his quarters to head for the bridge.

None of those fit me. I watch all the new episodes, but i am not wild about it. I like it, i enjoy it, but it lacks a certain something for me. One the other hand, it is the only show i watch and the one that my hubby and i watch together
-
My husband is a Jr, but rarely uses the JR part. His dad is William Edward, but goes by Bill and my hubby goes by Ed, but his folks call him "Eddie" and i HATE that.
most of the time i call him "Edward"
our son is NOT a III. But our daughter's middle name was his grandmother's

Ok, you will not like me for it, but here goes, Takara.
Why, at the end of NEM, when the Scimitar explodes, and the Enterprise is limping away with battered shields and no warp, and the Theleron weapon was ONE SECOND for detonation....
1) Where did all the Theleron from the weapon go? If it was as dangerous as Crusher said it was, how come some did not penetrate the shields and kill everyone on the Enterprise?
2) Why was the Enterprise not further damaged but being so close to the explosion?
3) Why did the Enterprise NOT EVEN ROCK from the effects of the Scimitar's exploding so close? There was not even a little shake!
this is the questions that really bug me.

I love both banana and chocolate...together is good! YUM!

Yeah, i have seen some of that slash too and it is gross. I remember one long ago called Perry's planet that i hated. But it was so long ago, i don't remember why B)

It was the first, last and only. It was never mentioned again and taht was one of the reasons that Spiner thought few of us would ahve taken notice of it, and it seems that he was correct on many counts, but a lot of us still did notice!

Ok, don't kill me RC, but I vote Picard too. Riker just never did anything for me!
-
I'm coming late to this debate, but to me it does sound like you are condeming him.
I have seen PS talking about how proud of the work he did on Nem, so i can understand if he was upset by its poor return.

Hi all and welcome.
Just wanted to let you all know that i pinned two topics that have been thrown about for a while, but have been begin over and over, so this way all can see what we think about these subjects.
The two are: Who should be in the next movie and What do you think about ST: NEM?
I have a board member to thank for the idea. :(
Happy posting, everyone!

LORE!
it is always fun to have a bad guy stir things up a bit and Lore was built for the ground up to do this!
He was funny, a show off of his abilities and very sexy.
Lore...all the way! :( :( :(

Spock>
"Their shields are up, but power is down by 20%. They have damage to their engines and their warp power is down. I believe that our targeting scanners should funtion now, Captain."

I think to me it would have made more sense if they had Data, but no B-4. If Brent Spiner's logic was that he was getting too old to play Data, then how is he not too old to play B-4 who looks just like Data?
They made it look as though Data is dead, yet B-4 is alive and well and it is possible that this character could make an appearance in the next movie. So what kind of sense does that make? If Brent is too old to play one android, would he not be too old to play them all?
I just thought the whole thing with B-4 was too contrived and impossible since it was stated that Soong's other androids had died.

There was also the pill that mcCoy gave that woman in the hospital taht caused her to grow a new kidney.
-
How the heck did you do that, VBG?
Both were cool, but i agree, it made my head hurt looking at it for too long.

Spock looks at Kirk for an indication as to if he should fire another volly.
-
It gave me a 63 for my first huband,
an 88 for my second (ick) and
a 43 for my current and LAST husband.
my parents who have been married and happy for 43 years got a 43% ?
i think not!
Edit to add
Ok, Did Data and got 72...not bad, but i did my real name and Brent Spiner and got a 99% OMG!
B)
I got a 14% with Spock, 86% with both Kirk and Picard
and a 28% with Jon Frakes. Good, i will leave him for RC!
LOL, i did my husband and T'pol at his request and he got a 95% :)
Damn, i really liked him, gonna lose him to a Vulcan.
lol

Spock tracks the movement of the Romulan and once his sensors registered that the mighty ship’s screens have lowered he launches a barrage of torpedoes to his pre-calculated coordinates. The Enterprise gives a small jolt as she releases each of the harbingers of destruction. When the torpedoes are away, Spock turns to the view screen to see the Romulan ship receive his gift while ordering Chekov to raise their screens.

This is my fav of them all. I love it for more reasons that i can count!

Sadly every time i see NEM, i hate it more. tehre were jsut too many wholes that i saw and that still have not been explained.
Take the ending. After my beloved is killed (GRRRRRRRRR) and The Schimitar blew up they showed the Enterprise who had been busted up and was limping away at impulse or thrusters and the shiields were gone in areas, but the ship does not ever SHAKE when the Schimitar explodes RIGHT THERE!!!!
i find the fact taht the movie had all the life on the ship living after that hard to believe if what we were told about the weapon was true and i find the fact that the ship did not ever rock impossible to believe.
i don't like it and i never will
and your right Sam, we most likely would not have liked your joke, However, you are still free to tell it as long as it was not insulted OF us!

I have visited that and even have it saved to favorites! The stories are very funny. If you have had a bad day, its a good place to go!
