Alive and meaningful, even after all this time. Gonna love it!

Too much action, not enough character scenes - Director's fault, a "special edition" could fix this though.I agree!!!
I don't really care about the desert scene! I would have given him for a "friendship" scene btw Geordi and Data or a goodbye scene btw Picard and Crusher.
Or just hear Geordi say something about Data after he died...
You and me both. His best friend for how many years and we don't eve see him draw a heavy sigh!
not where's the beef, where the grief!!!!!!

I remember that I read an interview with Brent Spiner that said that while John Logan was a fan of the show and had seen them all, he ahd not watched anyo f the movies
and did not know that Data now had emotions. Even reading this i kept wondering why Brent, who helped with the writting, did not say "Hey, buckoo, I got emotions now...can i get the girl this time?" :P
sadly, that did not happen and i have no clue as to why! the whole thing makes no sense and jsut ticks me off every time i think about it!

Nicely done!

She is gonna kill you and I may have to hold you down while she does it! :)

Just to break the theme running here...Geordi :)
Data and Riker are my next faves, though.
OH! it great to see that Geordi has a fan here! I have always liked him and I think Levar is a wonderful actor and seems to be one of the deep down nicest guys! :(
I would feel right if as a "Data drooler" :(, if I didn't like the character who was/is his best friend! Geordi is very cool!

When they had the part where he just kept beeping NO NO NO, i kept thinking that these people needed to at least learn to play 20 questions. I could hav egotten it out of him! Sheeesh!

Well, if you think about it, other then having breakfast with Beverly most mornings, Picard did not "hang out" with anyone. Data is not a private man and likes to be with others so he can add to his understanding or the human equation. Geordi and Data had a good understanding of each other and Geordi was one of the first people that ever accepted Data as a PERSON.
I think that while Data learned much from Picard, Picard also learned much from Data. He could see his crew through Data's eyes and also rediscover things vicariously when Data discovered them.

No, it is an opinion. This is very off the topic that was started. This theread was not begun to debate if Data was a valuable character or if he should be brought back. It had degraded and I have decided to lock the thread.

Personally, I'm starting to get sick of the Data talk, it's too much! AAAHHH!!!!Serriously though, he was no more important than Tasha Yar, and I don't see anyone screaming for her return. Hmm...
That would be because there was almost nothing unique about Tasha. That cannot be said about Data.
Please take care with your words and their tone. They border on offensive IMHO.
Your rant is noted.....move on.

Its insane that they would consider ruining our computers to make thier point and as stated, it ain't gonna make me want to run out and buy a CD.
ANd agree that they are paid too much for opeing their mouths and sining when Teachers, who are the ones that help to shape the minds of out children, are paid so little!

I want him back, but I want a good story too. I want it to be believable, I want Brent Spiner to play him, I insist that he is able to feel emotions, be it from the chip or on his own and I want him to remain alive at the end of the show. The thing that I did not care for at the end of Nem, was that with the huge break up of the crew and Data's death (breath, two, three, four) it made it difficult to even come out with new novelized stories for TNG. Its kind of like Ds9 and Voyager. That's it...end of story...that's all she wrote. I guess i would have liked to have seen it end in a way were there was still at least room for books to be written. Now, they can be written about the past, but it kind of kills it to think...yeah, but in the end, Data bites it!

If you don't think of the characters as family, that is why you do not understand this. If you were not moved to tears when Data did not return to the Enterprise, I doubt you ever will. If you were not enraged when Maddox tried to have Data declaired a toaster or when Haftel tried to order him to give up his daughter, Lal, you cannot understand. Data is such a huge part of the soul of TNG, it seems like the Wizard of Oz and the Tinman never had a heart.

I liked Devil. The part where they realize that the round things are eggs. Kirk standing there surrounded by them was very memorible.

Every time i went, there were spammer in there (including this guy with an X-rated SN who would post like 20 lines of the word "nude" in red, over and over again) other than that, it was no one I knew and they were NEVER talking about Trek. It was too boring for word!

~ Ok, how many boxes can I get out of this one, and can i do it the easy way and just sneak into their quarters to steal them this time ~
Data, Lore....who's side are you on? :)
-
I read every one until TNG came out. I loved VULCAN! and a heck of a lot more that I can't remember anymore.
-
I have played them and while you do not have to play them in order, i think, they are all VERY good. Not easy (or at least i did not think so) but very very fun! I would play them in order only because they get progressively better and you may not want to go backwards, but each was so much fun!
I have not played Silent hill...was it good? It looked like it was!
Edit to add: Of RE....its the one time i can say that i loved Nemesis! B)

I also really like Taco Bell(addicted to steak soft tacos and mexi melts!) and Subway(Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki)....and mom works at McDonalds so...Chicken Flatbread, Big N Tasty, and the Chicken Parmesagne.AHHHHH, the chicken Parm....*drool* love those too.
damn, I love food!

It s good to have friend who watch your back if you drink! But hopefully they are not holding a video camera when they are.... B)

OK, with all you sub sandwich fans around, I have to ask...have any of you had a sub made at the deli in Publix the food store? I love thier Ultimate, but its not a fast food joint, so it does not really count, but I think they are wonderful!

You don't always get sick, CJLP. I like to get a good buzz once in a while and every great while I go over the edge. I don't drink til i get sick, and I don't do this if I go out. When my hubbie and i when out last weekend, I drove (like normal) so he drank, but i did not. Unless he is not drinking and will drive, I will not drink out, only in.
There is nothing wrong with drinking as long as you have a plan first and do not put anyone including yourself in danger.
Thru Takara, I just discovered Bailey Irish Cream in milk. OMG, that's good. And I enjoyed the Merlot that Data sent me too! B)

I go to Arby's,I just love them jamocha shakes!OWWWWWWWW, Jamocha SHAKES!!!!! I love those!

If i make breakfast, its usually close to lunch time, but I love bacon waffles and loaded hashbrowns.
VOY Cameos in the TNG Movies
in TOS & TNG Movies

I'm not sure if you would count this as a cameo, but Ethan Phillips, who played Neelix, was in FC as the host in the Holodeck scene.
