the girl Geordi wanted in TNG, Leah Brahms, was white. I thought they made a very cute couple. but i would not set something up just to make it interracial.

Let's see....how to phrase this....I am Lessa Soong....Soong as is Data Soong....as in Mrs. Data Soong.....As in if i had the chance, i would soooooo be alllllll over him!!!!

No wait, i did! He's such a sweetie, even if he scares me with that jar of peanut

A lot of what WEAREBORG4102 said, i agree with. Now, ENT is the only show i watch all week and i told my new manger i don't work Wednesdays but i did not tell her it was because i like to watch ENT with Ed.

I think that the show needs to stick with Canon more, but the new races don't bother me and the new looks for some of the older ones excite me.

I roll my eyes as some things but i am still trying to download an episode i missed, so i am still a critical fan. :lol:

I would like to see more plots not more panties or .... boxers. Now , would ahve LOVED to have seen Data in even short sleeves, but alas....

Some good action (no, not that kind) humor, and doing what has to be done to overcome the bad guy is what we need, not T&A.

a wise man once said of story telling....if it advances the story, adds to it and does not take way from it, wonderful, if not, axe it.

and BTW, Vulcan's have sex the same way we do, but they meld too.

ANd got a new job so life have been very busy.

agreed that things do, at times, get out of hand, but some of the new members do not even know the board is Moded. I personally have too much going on of late to mod the chat much, so i feel it is the duty of non-mods help and report any member if they break the rules. If you don't want to be part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

The holidays can be upsetting for married's too.

I just found out that my father, who was just last month told he had cancer...everywhere, is most likely not going to live to see this Christmas. I'm having to take time off work to help my mother take care of him.

For those of us with no little ones to enjoy Christmas through, maybe your local hospital childrens ward or a big Brothers/ Big sister's program or the like would help. Christmas if for kids and a lot of them go without this time of year too.

Yeah, but theya re numbered for us, not for the ENT crew. This would be the 11th movie and what the time period is does not really matter, it the order the movies were made and when we got to see them. IMHO

Because you need the emotional attachment to identify with the character. If its a whole new crew, they would not ahve time to introduce all of them, and the mission, resolve the mission and let you get to know these new people in two hours.

Trek had always been an emotional show, why do you think we like Data so much? he showed us our emotions and moved us without having them himself. That is awesome!

Personally, I've ahd enough people to get to know in the trek world, don't think i want to get to know any more.

Sorry to contradict you, AE, but in the book Immortal Coil, One i personally hated, Soong was NOT Flint. FLint was a mentor to both Ira Graves and Soong and turned out to be the man who was also now helping Maddox to create a new android in Data's time, but Soong did indeed die in the episode "Brothers."

I agree that no one could ever play Data anywhere near as good as Sexy Brent, but i still can't stand the idea of Data being gone, so i guess its just a sad lose/lose situation.

The funny thing about my naming Kestra was that even though Ed and I are both big Trek fans, it was not our idea. I freind at work found out the baby was a girl and suggested the name as she knew her husband would never let her use it. We both loved the idea, but the weird thing is that while both Ed and i are dark haired and mine is almost black, Kestra is blond, just like the character she was named for.

I also have a son whose name could have been a perfect one for one of Data's sons, if he had one...Jorden Lucus. (Geordi and Jean-Luc)

I can't believe that i did not see that coming, but i walked in blind and had to roll out i was laughing so hard!

Do remember that many of the bridge officers were cross trained to be able to fill different position should an officer go on away teams or be needed somewhere else. We have even seen Wesley at Opps in the beginning of "Datalore" so if HE was cross trained, being an acting ensign, Worf had to be much more proficient.

Now that you all mention the stuff about "Wolf in the fold" i have to admit, that was the only episode that scared me. All those women being murdered and poor scotty being so confused and afraid he would lose his freedom or was losing his mind...it was very good and that was an effective villain

Lore has the potential to be an awesome villain.As great as Khan,or the Borg Queen. It would be great to watch him take on our favorite Starfleet heroes on the big screen.I would want to see it. B)

Ya know you got a point there and now that's something I too would very much like to see but the trick would be in having a plausible explanation of why he was re-assembled. I don't think I would buy it if they said some Star Fleet geek put in a chit to examine him and I also would have a hard time believing someone could just waltz into whatever security area the parts are being stored at and steal them. Heck, I would bet all the parts are being stored in separate locations to prevent such an act.

Agreed. I personally believe that Data has Lore's head stashed somewhere and that only he would be able to get at ti, but that is just a guess. Possibly with our beloved Data (sniff) not active (sob) Lore is gone forever too. B) :huh: B)

I think that Worf was just one of the many who were under Tasha in security before she died. As far as your comment about moving Worf and Geordi, you could not be more right!!!

Both were born to fill those places.

I always thought it was weird that Tasha was kind of flirting with Picard in Hide and Q, and then talks like he's a fatehr figure in Skin of Evil. Big jump, short time....weird.
