  1. Just curious if any other STFers were there

I was thinking that it would be so funny if I had seen any of my STF pals there

(but what are the odds of that? lol)

To those of you who couldn't make it, I had a great time, hopwfully you'll be able to come next year!

  2. Now I may be a bit biased, but I think that AOSTF would make an amazing TV show  I've shown the fan fic to friends who don't visit this site and they think it's hilarious.

Of course we (the characters) would have to have "normal" (i.e. not screen name) names. And anyone in the fan fic would get to be on the show.

I'd just love to see my baby, The Dysfunct, in full CGI on TV every week

Ok, so they wouldn't make my lowly fanfic into a TV show in a million years...maybe we could make a cable access show lmao

  3. As some of you may know I'm in Vegas now (accessing internet by piggybacking my modem onto the hotel room's fax machine)

So, for those of you who couldn't make it: I give you a brief recap.

Before Brent came out to talk to his adoring public they show this little music video tribute to Data. That in itslef was pretty entertaining: it was a bunch of clips of Data moments played over Mr. Roboto and I've got a Secret by Styx (I've ot the former stuck in my head domo arigoto mr roboto domo domo domo domo)

And then the moment we were all waiting for: Brent :b-day:

He was so funny, he would make a great stand up comedian lol.

    Memorable quotes:

"You're name's Bret? Were you named after me? Too bad they took away the N."

"I played craps for the first time last night, and I think I did pretty well. I only lost 10,000 dollars."

"The studio didn't like the first storyline for Nemesis. They liked the second one, but no one else did. Patrick didn't like the third one. And nobody liked the fourth one, which was the one we ended up doing."

"I love watching Enterprise! I put on my uniform and line up all my action figures, and we watch it toether. I think they like it more, though."

ooooo, he also did this really good imitation of Patrick Stewart's voice

    good times!

  4. I would have made this into a poll, but I don't want to leave out any, so it's more of a disscussion thread, deal with it.

I've only seen 4 of his movies (Vertigo, Psycho, Rear Window, and Rope) and I looooved all of them. Psycho scared the cheesecake out of me, cou;dn't sleep that night. Rope was the greatest suspense movie I've seen. I loved how Rear Window was all filmed from that one apartment, such a unique idea! And Vertigo just plain creeped me out.

  5. Anyone else on here ever watch any anime? I haven't seen much (just Princess Mononoke and the Cowboy Bebop movie, both of which I adored) and I really want to see more! Tomarrow I'm going to see if I can get my hands on some DVD of eps of Cowboy Bebop or other good shows my anime obsessed friends have told me about.

One of the things I like about anime is that it's sometimes more serious than American animation. I can't think of any serious American animation off the top of my head. I've also noticed that anime is directed (if you call it that with animation) more like live-action than American cartoons.

  6. I didn't think it was meant to be a horror movie (scared me though, because I've always had this weird fear that robots will take over the world)

What I didn't like about it was the lack of character development. The plot was good, but the way it was written didn't allow it its full potential.

I was throughly bothered by the "these are converse all stars" deal. I understand that sometimes product placement is necessary to pay for production costs, but that was really poorly done.

And the actress who played the woman who works with USR (don't remember the character or actress's name) did so horribly. She was either too unemotional (at these times I wondered why she didn't have pointy ears) or too emotional.

And is it just me or do all movies these days either based on books, remakes of older movies, or have unoriginal cliche plots? Really I'd like to see somethin original in the mainstream.

But I DID like the movie. Four words: Will Smith shower scene

  7. Oh yeah, my eyes are starting to feel watery right now

I dream of flirting (unsucessfully) with Spock, chatting with friends over Romulan ale, flirting with Scotty, and getting into bar fights at Quarks.

My dream job is to be the cheif enigneer on some starship.

This is a painful topic for me.

  8. TOS is my favorite show!

*DS9 comes on the TV* no, this is my favorite show!

*TNG comes on TV* no, this is my favorite show!

*VOY comes on TV* no, this is my favorite show!

*ENT comes on TV* no, this is my favorite show!

    *pattern continues for years*

    Honestly, I can't decide...too many choices

  9. All of them of course!

But I must say, I really like the idea of seeing RC chasing Riker and/or Takara chasing Lore

    *flashbacks of Hard Day's Night*

Now some non-mods who'd be great on Trek are me and Val. We could be drunk butt-kicking Romulans/Spock fangirls. Tal could be the bartender

  10. So did you hear about that big cheesecakey that destroyed the city? It pelted chili cheese fries at all of the innocent politicians and schoolchildren. Then it was defeated by the eevil troll, Schmee. Like most Schmee had a hobby, but his hobby was eating babies. You may think I'm morbid soul for telling you a tale so horrifying, but it's for your own good. Don't let the kids out at night alone, and drive safely.

You may have a point there, I'm soooo hungry!
