  1. I had thought the same things, but who's to say that this was the first humanoid life to evolve there? It could aslo be argued that their culture would have stayed in the "dark age" had it not been for Voyagers arrival. Remember, it was said that Voyager itself was the cause for much of this planets evolution. Almost everything after Voyager's arrival was done in response to or in reactin to Voyager. How many thousands of years might that culture have gone with the advancements they made were it not for the "Sky Friends"?

Voyager is trapped in high orbit of a strange planet. Appearing as a bright new star in the sky Voyager is unabel to break orbit without ripping the planet apart. The planets population is able to see this strange new star in the sky and names it "Ground Shaker".

Time on this strange planet goes by very quickly, minutes on Voyager is decades on the surface, as time goes by Voyager quickly becomes part of the planets mythos.

  4. On the Portal, if you aren't logged in it will give you a place to log in. The one in the middle of the screen where the Welcome message is doesn't seem to work properly. I haven't found the error with it yet but will continue tracking that bug down.

In the meantime, just use the login that is to the left of the screen or the login link at the top of the screen.

  5. Now why can't I ever find any obsessed Riker fans to bond with? lol.gif Life's so unfair. prplwink.gif

One of our Mods is somewhat of a Riker fan, Amy (Luvin1stdegree). She is new to Trekdom though and thinks we all need therapy  but she really likes Riker and wonders why there's no Riker sceens without his shirt on... lol

  6. I started watching st tng with my dad when I was 10 ( mind you I am only 22) so for 12 years every episode of trek was new and exciting to me.  I think for the most part the yonger you are the harder it is to wait for something.  yet with all the reruns ( as devoted a fan as I am) there is just a smalll number of times you can watch them without knowing all the words and all the action ( it just startes getting Boring)

I disagree, I never get bored with Star Trek. As I said in another post someplace here, I have been watching Star Trek since I was 5 days old. Yes, since I was 5 days old lol. That was in March of 1969, so you can imagine how many times I have seen all of the episodes from all the series.

I never get bored with them.

  7. It's funny you mention it. I actually had a dream the other night that we had a STARTREKFANS.NET convention in Las Vegas. It was a cool dream lol, we had Star Trek screenings and things like that. I was disappointed that it was only a dream when I woke up lol

  8. Thank you, I'd never have gotten so many postings without so many great postings to respond to. All the credit goes to everyone that posts here.

The fireworks are really a 2 part posting. Part 1 is the individual fireworks pictures and part 2 is a sound file I made that actually uses 3 different audio files.
