Getting ready to take the final chapter test of my networking class (all of the tests including the final are taken at home on the computer).Sitting at home procrastinating on writing a report on Thomas Jefferson that's due next Wednesday.^^ Got an A
Like there was any doubt that you would get an A.
Now for my bit of school update. Only TWO Weeks left till I am done with my Ass. in IT.
Well, I should correct myself. It was an A- because I used the present tense a few times and since it's a paper about Thomas Jefferson those instances should have been in the past tense. That's what I get for procrastinating lol That won't affect my final grade though lol so it's all good.
I've decided to take come paralell classes, I'll get the AAS in IST but I'll also take the classes needed to also get an AS in Computer Science with an eye on possibly turning it into a BS in CS later.
What I'm looking for in some of my electives is a class in twentieth century television science fiction. I could write a 100 page report on Star Trek lol.

Really about the only thing I remember from the series is Starbuck and his Cylon friend stranded on the planet... though I do seem to remember some stuff on Earth... I wonder if Netflix has this for instant viewing.

Too me that is one of the best pieces of poetry ever written!!! It's right up there with the great opera "Kill the Rabbit" from Bugs Bunny. What was the bugs bunny poem??
Not a poem. They did an episode of Bugs Bunny as a tragic opera. I can't remember which opera it was based on but it was really funny!
I remember seeing an interview with a music professor and he was talking about a class he had taught on opera. He asked his students what the first opera they were exposed to was. He says half the class broke out in song "kill the wabbit kill the wabbit".
Just found the Bugs Bunny one:

I'm not sure if I had responded to this before but at this moment I'd go with the D. It's what I watched for 7 years of it's original run and now for an additional 16 years in reruns (wow has it really been over for 16 years??
).
Anyway, the D would feel more like "home" if I were to visit it. In fact, at the Experience when Mandy and I were there and walking through the corridors and on the Bridge and in the turbo lifts I really felt like I had been there before and it was a very familiar place to be.
The E, while probably more advanced just wouldn't have the same feel.

I see the mp3 link in the first post isn't working so I've replaced it with a YouTube video of the song from the episode.

Well, since this has now been brought up I must say that I dislike both apples and oranges. I have an allergy to apples and oranges always give me canker sores....... comparing apples and oranges. -

I bet it is, and now I know Roy's head is about to explode...Tank top and underwear... it's hot in my apartmentI'm wearing my usual 'lazy day' attire, sweats and a tee shirt.
ROFL!! I hope so, I would like to see it
Today was kind of a lazy day for me too
It's been a lazy day but I should have been studying a little more than I was. I have my finals this week. Well, one of them is optional and I doubt I'll take it, another is simple since it's U.S. History and that's always been a favorite subject of mine. I probably could have taken the final on the first day of class and still gotten an A lol.

Has anyone been watching "America: The Story of Us" on the History Channel? So far it's a really good series.

Yeah, I have my dislikes of the new movie too. Of course all of those can be read about in the ST 2009 review forum so I won't go back through them. All in all it was an ok movie though I guess. Just not a favorite.
Well lets just say when it came to casting Pike I don't think they even tried.
I take it you didn't like the new movie?Ewwww, why would you want the one from the new movie? Also I am having trouble finding a Jeffrey Hunter to marry, any suggestions?
I take it you like Jeffrey Hunter? lol
And yes, I like Jeffrey Hunter a lot! lol
Jeffrey Hunter did well as Pike, would have been interesting to see how he'd have done with other stories in the Star Trek universe. The only other role of his that I can think of off the top of my head is as Jesus in "The Greatest Story Ever Told", one of my favorite movies on the topic of Jesus' life.
Yeah, it's definatly not one of my favorite movies that's for sure!
I'm not really sure what else he was in either, but I'm sure he did Westerns. It seems like everyone back then did

You're banned for thinking there are pictures with the whip. I forgot to bring it to the shoot, but there's a video on my facebook with it.Now everyone is flocking to Facebook....

I re-watched this episode again today, I still don't like the ending and I'm still interested in the 200 years worth of history that would have happened had the Defiant gone back.

Huh. Interesting. I post from work, and needless to say we got some wicked cool hi-speed stuff. Perhaps it's the constant IT upgrades and changes that have caused it. We've had a lot of that lately.... a BIG one yesterday: all our company emails' passwords were changed forcibly... and we no longer have the option to change them ourselves later. If it's only happening while you're at work then I'd think that's probably the cause. I've accessed the site both from home and my college and had no problems at various times of the day.

Had to fix this, the YouTube video had stopped working... now it's back... lol
