I'm just never going to be satisfied with watching Viscera seducing Lillian and Heidencrap making friends after watching ECW this evening.

Just finished watching the ECW PPV. My thoughts as I watched:

- Joey Styles - "Oh My God!" ...Great start!

- Storm/Jericho - Alright! "Lionheart" Jericho. What a great match! Jericho hasn't wrestled this well in years! Too bad Storm's last match had to end like that though.

- Rocco Rock & Terry Gordy - I didn't know they were dead!

- Mike Lozansky - Who is this?

- Sinister Minister & Mikey Whipwreck - I've always liked these guys.

- Sandman - "Life's a b.itch.....and then you marry one"......LOL

- WWE guys - Vince should never have had these guys come on.

- The old clips from ECW really takes me back!

- Joel Gertner - They should have let him do one of his classic promos in the ring. He did at the Shane Douglas show.

- RVD - What a great promo!

- Sabu/Rhino - Great match. Vince should rethink firing Rhino

- All of the cracks about Edge were hilarious!

- Benoit/Eddie - I wish they wouldn't use their WWE entrance music.

- Mike Awesome - Unbelievable match!

- Heyman - Fantastic promo

- Sandman - Best Entrance Ever!

- Stevie Richards - IMO....one of the most underrated and under-utilized wrestler in the business.

- Simon Dean - I wonder if anyone recognized him?

- Dudleys/Dreamer/Sandman - Too much to comment on. I'm absolutely speechless!

 

This was the best PPV I've seen in years! I can't wait until the buy-rate figures come in. Vince and Shane were both backstage. Vince can't ignore the potential income that ECW can bring to the WWE. The crowds at regular WWE PPVs don't come close to the reaction of the crowd at the ECW show.

My own thoughts:

 

- Joey Styles - Absolutely brilliant.

 

- Lance Storm - Superb. Lance Storm regained the dignity that Stephanie McMahon wrongly took from him. I wish him a happy retirement.

 

- Sinister Minister & Mikey Whipwreck - Awesome.

 

- Sandman - Coolest entrance ever. The fans singing along to Metallic was incredible.

 

- Joel Gertner - Always hilarious. They definately should have let him cut one of his filthy promos.

 

- RVD - Best shoot promo ever.

 

- Sabu/Rhino - I can't believe they fired Rhino. Sabu is the most reckless wrestler of all time, but brilliant.

 

- Paul Heyman = Genius.

 

- Mike Awesome - Best match on the PPV. World class performance.

 

- bWo- Priceless. Nova's Hollywood Hogan impersonation is always a riot. Meanie is hilarious and Stevie Richards has always been underrated.

 

- Dudleys/Dreamer/Sandman - Blood, violence, Francine, emotion, fire, and the awesome Beulah McFrickin Gillicutty. What more could you possibly ask for?

We only saw ECW for a short time in the UK before it folded.

 

This was also my first full ECW show. I first learned about the company in the mid-Nineties when my friend at High School who was also a wrestling fan used to tell me about this renegade wrestling promotion which was completely uncensored and broke all conventional ideas about wrestling.

 

RAW will be very interesting tonight. I wonder how they will possibly try to match up to last night, which was one of the greatest nights in my 15 years of being a wrestling fan.

I feel bad for you guys who didn get much ECW, I got to see alot of it, and Pittsburgh actually had a ECW house of Hardcore II located in the area, I got to go to an ECW PPV, and Shane Douglas was way over in the burgh, could not deny his fans here, (i'm not one of them he (I'm trying to say a bad word but can't)ed about HBK and acted like him with the ECW belt) but you guys missed out on alot not being able to view it longer

I think you can judge a person's personality based on the location of their tattoos.

 

Ankle = "I am playful and mischievous"

 

Leg = "I am exotic and appreciate other cultures"

 

Arm = "I have spent part of my life as a trucker, biker or soldier".

 

Back = "I am a professional wrestler".

 

Stomach = "I love Los Angeles street gang culture"

 

Chest = "I am a member of a Los Angeles street gang"

Pretty much yeah. Underbiker was his real life persona.

 

 

One of the "ladies" ( ) in the Raw Diva Search said she went to college on a Rodeo scholarship.

 

What did she major in? Bullroping???

 

 

I've heard that Jonathan Coachman can't stand up for at least half an hour after he sees the contestants in the Diva Search.

 

Although strangely, the same thing happens to him when he sees Michael Cole.
