Personal log, 19.8.04

 

Not much for today. I got out of bed a few moments ago. I have to go to university today, I have to do something there. Put my name onto a list. I have to study Latin and therefore I need to be on one of those lists.

 

So, I'm gonna hurry, I don't want to return home that late.

Not much so far for today. I got up at 10.30 am, I don't know why, I just wasn't tired anymore.

 

I called my grandma, she has to sew an "ENGLAND" patch onto my jacket (a gift from one of my friends ).

Hm, calm day so far. I'm looking forward to this evening. I'll meet with an old friend of mine (from school). I haven't seen her for quite some time and I am curious on what's new in her life.

 

My life isn't that interesting, since I can't tell her about the latest upgrade of the warp core or the new recipe for Earl Grey tea I developed for my dear husband (my friend knows nothing about Star Trek, so I guess it would be pointless to tell her about those things).

 

Anyways, I'm looking forward to meeting her

Yes, we really had fun, we played 'Super Mario Kart' on her SNES (yes, we're big kids :) ) and went to a pub where we had a lot of fun, talking and watching the olympics on a biiiiig screen. :)

 

And then, suddenly, she asked me "How is Jean-Luc?" I thought she knew nothing about Star Trek :o , I looked at her like that --> :) and asked her where she knew him from...

 

She answered that she had noticed his picture in my wallet when we met last time and she knew who he was. She's so attentive :lol:

 

Anyways, we talked at lot, giggled a lot about old school times and so on. It was a great evening. :)

Not much for today, it was a calm Sunday. The next week will be pretty stressful, I'll have to go to university and check up on some things, and one of my friends will have a party on Wednesday (she's leaving Germany for half a year, she's going to ENGLAND and she can't take me with her :) :huh: ) and my Grandma is planning on big celebrations for the next weekend, it's her birthday on Friday. Oh, I just hate family meetings, they're so dull :)

Well, I hope that I can vanish from that family gathering as soon as possible. My Grandma lives just across the street, so I can go home whenever I want to. :huh: It's just the meetings that bother me, my family is nice and all that but I just can't talk to them somehow, they're just not... my favorite people to talk to. :)

I know what you mean, everyone looks at me like as if I was an alien or something... Just because I am the only one in my family who chose to study philosophy at university and not to "work", or "get a real job". :) they think I'm the geek of the family. Oh, well. :huh:

Not much so far. I'm having dinner right now and I'm listening to really loud music. I wonder when the neighbours will complain :)

Oh my gosh. I went to university today, like I said I have to learn Latin and I wanted to put my name onto a list, you have to do that if you want to attend the Latin lessons. And guess what happened: the lists aren't there yet, they'll be available in Ocotober. :) :) I made all the way in vain. :) :) Oh, well. :)

 

And I got terribly wet. It was raining like never before and my shoes were wet in the blink of an eye. :lol: That was fun, walking around with wet socks and shoes. :) And all for nothing. :o

Whoa, I'm exhausted. I just did all the things my mom asked me to do today (her lists are getting longer and longer with each passing day ), like ironing or washing the dishes and so on...

 

But now I have time to look at Stfans.net

Oh, we had a lot of fun, we had a nice lunch together and then we went to a book store in which I bought two new Star Trek TNG books.

 

Of course English books, I hate to read those bad-translated German books we have here.

I got erm... two old TNG novels... "Dyson Sphere" and a novel mostly about Will Riker, it seems (I hope RikerChick won't THWACK me for that :) ), it's called "A Rock And A Hard Place"

 

I have to read some other novels before those two, though.
