:flex: Why, after this many years, have I still not learned to censor what I say before I say it to avoid these types of smart*** answers from you?

Well, obviosuly you went to Arizona and Nevada - and looks like California. Were some of those pics taken at Yosemite and Sequoia Nat'l Park? And is that the Hearst Mansion?

I'm guessing the ghost town was in Nevada..

:P Contrary to what you believe, Kevin, we are a civilized society up here in WI. What can I do to prove it to you?

You got two out of three right. I didn't make it to Arizona. Without boring the pants off of everyone I'll give a brief run down of our itinerary. We started out by flying to Vegas, stayed there overnight and then flew to Oregon the next morning. I have a childhood friend who lives there and her oldest daughter graduated high school this year which was the main reason for the trip. The day after the graduation we visited Crater Lake in Oregon (the pics with snow). From there we drove south into California. Our first stop was Bodie, CA (the ghosttown, for more info go to www.bodie.com). The next stop was Yosemite, then Sequoia National Park, then on to Cambria, CA (photos of the coast) and while there we did see the Hearst Castle (http://www.hearst-castle.org/). From there we drove south to LA to see the Hollywood sign and then east to Las Vegas for the weekend.

I thought that town looked familiar. I read all about Bodie in a magazine recently!

Very nice vacation pictures! I would love to see Bodie. Have been to Crater Lake once but would like to return. Looks like you saw some beautiful scenery.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I wasn't planning on posting any photos because I didn't think anyone would be interested. The trip was something that had a lot of meaning to me (aside from seeing some great places) because this trip was an anniversary of sorts. This summer marks 30 years of friendship with the women was I was vacationing with. In these busy times it's very rare that the three of us can get away together for a week and just enjoy being together on a "girls getaway".

Now I can start planning next year's vacation....

Those are great pictures, maybe RikerChick could paint some of the landscape pictures, I'm sure she can.

:sniffle: Kevin you do need to get out more, not that you asked my opinion or anything but I don't want you to get depressed or anything.

:sniffle: Amy and I have known each other for 9 going on 10 years and tease each other about different things. I get out from time to time.:sniffle:

Now I can start planning next year's vacation....

Do I see a Star Trek convention in your future? :sniffle:

I have two lists of possible vacation destinations started...places I've never been and places I've been and want to revisit.....star trek is not on either list....
