cassidy 0 Posted September 14, 2004 (edited) In school we had to create our own political party and present our policies to the class. Our ideas are as follows: - free marijuana (this will improve the food and water shortages because unconscious people don't eat or drink) - animals can vote - everybody has their skin dyed beige to promote equality - the brand "black & gold" must be changed to "beige & beige" to further promote equality. - unemployment is a good thing. this gives citizens more time to smell the roses. So what do you think? Will we win the upcoming election? Edited September 14, 2004 by cassidy
fenriz275 0 Posted September 15, 2004 (edited) - free marijuana (this will improve the food and water shortages because unconscious people don't eat or drink) 263011 Um...I don't think any of your supporters will remember to vote, or anything else. Matt 0 Posted September 15, 2004 Beige eh, you can give it a try. I noticed you said free marijuana and not legalised marijuana, how does that work? Well the best of luck, let us know how you do.
cassidy 0 Posted September 15, 2004 Well, we didn't win. However, we formed a coalition with the Dimoc party and we are now the opposition! How good is that?!
Jim Phaserman 0 Posted September 15, 2004 I had to do a project like that in High School. My Party was the Americanist party, our party's beliefs were these: No Abortion. Allow Gay Marraige, gay adoption. Lower Taxes Cancel welfare, our thought was it makes people more likely to look for jobs. Increase military spending by 20%, cancel military downsizig by current administration (this was when Clinton was President) Strengthen alliances with England, Australia, and Canada. remove all American military forces in Germany and France the list goes on, but we weren't nice to Germany or France... Rivendells_king 0 Posted September 16, 2004 I think, No abortion No allowing gay marriage, but gay adoptions. ( I have the weirdest reason why and I can not say it here) Improve transportation, power plants to do minimal damage to the eviroment Find more efficient power sources Free health care and social security (yhea like that is ever going to happen LOL)
mj 7 Posted September 16, 2004 Well, we didn't win. However, we formed a coalition with the Dimoc party and we are now the opposition! How good is that?! 263082 I would be interested to hear the platforms of the other parties, including the one you formed a coalition with, and the party that won. Is the government like American decomcracy, or parliamentary democracy?

Is the government like American decomcracy, or parliamentary democracy? 263301 It's a parliamentary democracy - second preference system. All of the other parties were fairly normal (and boring :) ) You know, like female rights, gay marriage and adoption, etc.

What happened, Jim? Lets see, My party was the Cheerocrats (The cheerleaders in the class, including me, formed a group for it) our platform was... Make Cheerleading an olympic sport. requiring everyone to be happy all the time Ban antisocials (the arch enemies of Cheerleaders) increase funding to schools, especially groups that promote school spirit
DrWho42 13 Posted September 16, 2004 (edited) Hehe, those ideas are interesting, cassidy. :) Er, does anti-social include quiet people who tend to read under some tree at lunch? :) I'd like to see how the Technocrats shall fair, and shall make the right for walking trees to vote... Giving our supercomputers more jobs to run, so that people could have other jobs for better reasons. Rerunning old episodes of Doctor Who and older television shows to re-educate the people of what older television was... Also to solve this problem of so many people not knowing what Doctor Who is... :) And some other things that people would probably tend not to vote for.... Jeanway 0 Posted September 16, 2004 I'd vote for Doc's "TreeMan" anyday. Of course I have been labeled a "Tree Hugger" in here by someone, I won't say who. :) That's alright, I'm a loyal and devoted memeber of the "Sierra" Party, and Proud of it. :)
Valeris 2 Posted September 16, 2004 Between those two, I would vote for the Technocrats anyday. My little sister would be a Cheerocrat- you can hang out with her! As for, I am the most antisocial person on or off the face the planet... and I love my nerdy/geeky ness! Besides, I hate happiness. LOL
