  1. 1: The Borg do not assimilate animals. They make record of them, and then wipe them out.

2: The Borg could not assimilate Tribbels since the Klingons wiped out the creature long before the borg arrived in the alpha quadrant.

    3. What would a Borg Tribbel do anyway? It would be about as threatening as an assimilated goldfish out of water.

  2. Science officer position granted by first officer. Welcome aboard, Alexander32. Yes, it will take place here...

    Captain: Powreal

    First officer: Lt. Evans

    Chief Engineer: harrykim

Chief Medical officer: Captain Jean-Luc Picard

    Helm/Ship's Pilot: Sasooni

    Security/Tacitcal: mfa_angelfire

    Science officer: Alexander32

    Ship's nurse: Aurora Astrum?

    Counsellor: Aurora Astrum?

Aurora Astrum could double as the ship's nurse and counsellor... but we don't NEED either of those ranks. The U.S.S Voyager functioned perfectly without a counsellor and the U.S.S Defiant functioned without a Ship's nurse. We still need a name for the ship and we need the all ahead from Captain Powreal.

  3. I've been working on a Star Trek story for sometime, and I was wondering if anyone knows how I can contact a publisher, through the internet would be best. Is there a site where I can submit work, is there anyone who knows anyone I can e-mail... does anyone on this site actually publish books? Any help is appreciated.

    Regards,

    Lt. Evans

  4. Positions aboard Captain Powreal's new starship:

    First officer: Lt. Evans

    Chief Engineer: harrykim

    Science officer: Unassigned

We need to fill the last three positions and in the meantime we need to come up with a name for the ship...

  5. I've writing a Star Trek fiction with an alternative crew set after the dominion war. I've posted what I've written so far on this site, but nobody seems interest in reading and reviewing it. Can someone please give the address for a site with a forum where members will read and review my fan-fiction. I've scoured the 'net and I can't find anything resembling what I want... help!

  6. I don't think anyone's ever tried. Let's be honest, if you're not a self sufficient union of planets or an empire then you kind of need some ot look after you... so you ally yourself with one of the major players.

    Federation

    Romulan star empire

    Cardassian union

    Dominion alliance

    Borg collective

    Klingon empire

At first the federation tried to get Bajor to join them, but as you may remember Sisko told them not to join the federation, because of what the Prophets told him. This later proved to be a wise move because if Bajor had been part of the federation it would have been attacked by the Cardassians, but since it was independant the Dominion offered them a truce, and took them under there protection. The federation wasn't going to attack Bajor, so Bajor was safe and stayed out of the war.

  7. Hi, I'm in the middile of writing a fan-fiction and I've hit upon a small problem. I don't know any ranks except for 'Gul'... can anyone tell me any other ranks... what rank was Dukat when he was demoted from 'Gul' and put in charge of a freighter?

  8. Some cardassian ships for us to look at:-

    Warship AKA 'Galor'

    Click for Spoiler:

    Warship AKA 'Keldon'

    Freighter AKA 'Groumall'

    Scout AKA 'Hideki'

    Shuttle AKA 'Lakat'

    Station AKA 'Nor'

    Missile AKA 'Dreadnaught'

  9. Worf was a fantastic addition to the station, it allowed his character to develop and he added an essense to the station which had been missing before. Worf was amongst my favourite charcters aboard DS9, always was... always will be!

  10. Bashir or Pulaski.

Bones is too grumpy and his sickbay is the last place I'd want to go for treatment, I'd be happier on Voyager or even the Defiant!

Dr. Phlox is just too annoying, I wouldn't need an aesthetic... he could bore me to sleep telling me about his people and their culture.

Beverly Crusher has the most annoying son in history, who she would probably introduce me to because we're a similar age. I would sooner surrender to the borg than hang out with Wesley Crusher.

EMH (Mark one) can be strict, grumpy and have a lousy bed-side manner, and in the later episodes he breaks down at some of the most vital points.

EMH (Mark two) is an idiot, he is naive and simply a copy of another doctor we thankfully never had the displeasure of meeting.

    ---

So, yeah... Bashir or Pulaski on an Intrepid class starfleet vessel would be my ideal check-up.

  11. TNG was great, but the gang just seems pretty tired and not to up to date on happenings in their universe.  Where were these guys during the Dominion War?  They're the flagship?

Exactly... they're the Flag Ship of the Federation and Star Fleet. So, Star Fleet probably had the Enterprise patrolling the neutral zone for most of the Dominion war. Let's face facts: nobody ever sends their actual flagship to war, in case in might get destroyed. In all the recent wars, which America has been involved in, their flagship also called 'Enterprise' has never been anywhere near any fighting. Hitler's flagship was sent to fight the British and they bloody sank it... which just goes to show, you should never send your flagship to battle, it will only attract a shed load of gunfire.

A DS9 movie would be good because it would tie up a lot of loose ends, as you mentioned. Voyager didn't really have many loose ends to tie up except what became of the crew after they returned home - so I reckon a Voyager movie would just involve a lot of talking. Boring. I want to see a big f*** off space battle, like the ones they had at the last few series of DS9.

But, there's probably not much point complaining... they'll probably just stick out another 'Next Generation' movie regardless of what we say or think. And it will probably suck and the critics world wide will probably rip it limb from limb.

When I saw the opening to Tarantino's new movie it started with an old Klingon proverb! This got me thinking about Klingon culture and the huge history it has, written by fans and the original writers. About a week after seeing Tarantino's new movie 'Kill Bill', I sat and thought about the idea of a movie about the Klingon Empire. It would either be really good... or really awful.

Anyway... a DS9 movie! That's what I want! When do I want it? Now! When am I gonna get it? Probably never!

    ---

And on another note... how come the crew of the TNG still haven't been promoted to ridiculous high ranks? They've saved the universe god knows how many times! Kirk's crew are all Commanders, Captains and Admirals now. But Riker is still a commander, same as he was the day he stepped on the Enterprise-D. They should've made Picard an Admiral and given Riker the rank of Captain but allowed them to stay on Enterprise.

  12. The Klingon's are based on a mixture of several human cultures drawing various ideas from each:

    Vikings (Beards, drinking, war songs.)

Samurai (Honour, delight in battle, suicide if shamed.)

Sioux Indians (Warrior code, sayings like: "Today is a good day to die.")

Early Romans (A council, a wish to expand their borders, rich families in control.)

British empire (Massive fleet, self-righteous and unsympathetic.)

  13. No, no, no... I don't want the next Star Trek movie to be 'Next Generation'... please something new and original. "DS9: The return of Sisko"

Huge f*** off space battles, anyone?

Seriously... I remember watching Wayne's World as a kid and Wayne claiming that Star Trek: The Next Generation won't be what people immediately think of when you say Star Trek, and that it will always be about Kirk. I used to agree, but now I think that as the years have moved on more and more people associate the word 'Star Trek' with:

    The bridge of Enterprise-D

Captain Picard saying he's French but speaking with an English accent

    Worf's ponytail

    Riker's beard

    Data's wishes to be human

    Geordi's visor

    Troi's appauling costumes

Q popping up to annoy the hell out of them

And when I had a conversation with my friend Tim, he said he'd never heard of Captain Sisko. He'd heard of Kirk and Picard and he'd seen Voyager a couple of times because it was such a popular series (Even my sister enjoyed that one) but I was in a state of shock when my friend Tim didn't know who Sisko was. I was trying to explain that Sisko was the coolest captain (In My Opinion) and Tim didn't even know who he was.

"He's the black captain..." I explained

"Oh, that'll explain why he's the coolest."
