If the 11th movie is TNG I'd only see it out of loyalty to star trek. I love it but it's been WAY overused. I vote for mixed cast.

This may sound kinda cheasy but star trek gives me hope that humanity will be able to come to it's sences and grow up. It may not happen anytime soon but hopefully it will happen. I also like it on an unemotional level but without the emotion I wouldn't be as big of a fan.

I loved Dune and Children of Dune but I picked other because I love Babylon 5 even more. B5 ranks just barely behind Star Trek.

TMP is my least favorite. It moved WAY to slow for me.

It kind of depends on which fans you are talking about. The stupid fans who will stop watching if every little detail is not the way they want it (like Indy said, not REAL fans) definetly hurt Star Trek. However, the loyal ones can save it.
