Sorry to everyone from the UK, I couldn't resist

!!!!!! OMG!!!!!  :congrats: Your soo bad :o

  2. No, I don't think they made an "Enterprise friendly" character in Arik Soong. the Arc was an interesting (1 episode too long) one but I wouldn't be too interested in seeing him back.

If his coming back means Enterprise stays on the air vs. not coming back and getting canceled then yes, otherwise I think no.

    281786

 How did you make that connection? Do you have some inside information we ALL should know about?? Are the writers bringing him in?? I mean Q {sorry don't remember his real life name.} Could have played Soong just as well as Spiner. NO??? :congrats: Or even Patrick Stewart could have played Soong. :o  j/k, fat chance of THAT ever happening.

  3. Although I enjoyed Brent's stint on Enterprise, making him a recurring actor will only weaken the impact he has.

I disagree. I think his new character is wonderful. Not that I like the things he supposedly does or stands for but it certainly does show the depth of his character and his talents. I'd enjoy seeing him as a recurring character. he shows compassion at the same time shows just how mean and evil he CAN be. :congrats:

  4. Becka filled the tureen again after everyone was served and it was empty. She ladelled out the thick chicken soup into it from the huge pot on the stove. Then she walked back to the table and set it down. Lida watched her to see if the woman's reflection appeared again. For an instant Lida though she saw Becka do a double take into the soup, then she smiled, Becka did. Then looked at Lida.

"Goin darn good out there, ain't it children. I think we'll have that roof on by supper-time." Abe said as he served himself another bowl of soup. "Yes Father." most of them answered at once.

After lunch the men climbed up on the roof and finished the framing. Then with the aid and help of their unseen helpers the plywood sheets were hauled up almost effortlessly and nailed in place. Since the roof was now on and it was still the middle of the afternoon they began putting the plywood on the walls. By supper all the walls were up and the barn was totally enclosed.

  5. Lida thought to herself as they lifted the third wall " Guess that wink meant something." And again the wall nearly lifted itself into place, as did the fourth and final wall frame. Everyone gave a great cheer and stood back from the roofless frame of a barn. Abe, Aaron and the boys looked over athe pile of lumber that now had to be hoisted up to the roof. Abe knew about this part especially since he had worked as a roofer. The pulley and winch were pulled up first then secured to the upper part of a wallframe. Once it was secured the ropes were attatched and they began bringing up the planks. The job seemed nearly effortless as their unseen helpers worked with them. And by lunchtime all the planks were up there and nearly half had been nailed in place.

Becka and Lida had gone in and made lunch, it was ready now and everyone went inside.

As Lida filled the large soup tureen and placed it on the table again she saw the image of the woman in the reflection of the soup, smiling up at her, giving her that same wink. :wink2: Lida smiled.

  6. Becka and Lida were up early, so was Addie. The breakfast that morning had to extra special for "Barn Raising Day". Becka decided to make pancakes with fruit fillings, ham steaks and sausages, Blueberry muffins, and something they rarely had, 'coffee'. Even the children would be allowed to have a small cup with their breakfast. As Lida was flipping the pancakes on the griddle she caught sight of their "special visitors" reflections in the kitchen window. They were watching. Lida gave the woman a wink, she winked back.

Becka began to hum. So Lida joined in. Then Addie began to sing. "Onward Christian soldiers, marching off to war.........the rest of the family began to join in as well. Everyone were eating and singing, happy today had finally arrived. The barn would be up and their new family from Holland will be arriving soon.

Plates clean, everyone full, they went outside. Becka and Lida included. "The dishes can wait." Becka said. "Let's go."

  7. Jeanway, you should have your computer looked at by a professional.  NO ONE should have that many problems.

    281631

Well, if it isn't the "Prophet of Doom and Gloom" Thanks for the words of encouragement. I don't usually HAVE alot of problems, it's when I add something like an Update I should be able to trust from Microsoft  This happens all the time. Someone tells me to update, so I do then I'm back in the soup again. How do you know I don't have my computer looked at by a professional?? You shouldn't give such cavalier advice unless you talk to a person about what's going on. :congrats:

  8. I've always used Explorer, but I just started having a weird problem with it this last week. It's knocked me off the internet 3 times, then asks me if I want to send an error report.  :congrats: I'm thinking about switching to Firefox.

    281380

Me too, what's THAT about anyway? Something new?? When I reported the problem I got innundated with pop-ups and had to run Spybot for the 3rd time in a week  This last time it found 67 problems. The time before it found 47 problems. The 1st time I ran it it found 12. Now what is going on??? More trickery on the Web???

  9. Not a bad episode, I had to pause it a lot because of my neighbor but I saw the whole thing.

Not a whole lot of meat in the story though.

    281613

Yep, too many flashbacks, not enough realtime  Looks like the writers are "LOST" Maybe they need a dose of Jeanway to punch it up. :congrats: :wink2:

  10. O.K., its Wednesday again. It's on. Sayidpost-897-1100741066.jpg just stepped over a wire strung between two trees and stepped right into a trap. The noose wrapped around his leg and pulled him up off the ground upside down then he swung into a sharp stick which probably had poison on it :o he looks unconscious, he did pull it out before he passed out. Hmmm, I'm thinking "Pygmies"  OK, I'm going to watch now.................... OOPs, it's the French woman!!!!! :congrats: :o

  11. Lunch had been overwith and the kitchen cleaned up. Two meatloaf sandwiches wrapped in paper and the bowl of what was left of the potato salad from the night before was sitting on the table next to them. They sat down and ate. Then went outside to work on the new barn with the rest of the family.

"Did you see them?" Abe yelled as they walked over. "Yep, we did." Aaron answered. "And you should see the sheep. They were packed on that barge so tight I think they were on to of each other." He answered. "We'll need at least 5 trucks to get them back here. I think we'd best check the site and see if ILikeseven left us a new message." Aaron went to the loft and sure enough there was a new PM from ILikeSeven, it read.............

"Was that YOU in the little yellow plane today? We waved, did you see us?? We should be at the Port of Michiana in 3 days for sure. See you there. Your friend M*****. Over and Out :congrats: "

Aaron ran outside to tell everyone. "We'd better plan on leaving day after next, that sound about right with everyone?" He asked. "Sure does." Abe answered. "Tomorrow we'll have the roof on and it should work out just perfect."

  12. Was a very Odd moring here when I woke up. There was a Pink Fog. Yepp, a pink fog. I know there is an explaination for this and you can BET I'll find it. :congrats:

O.K., now for the Pink Fog.............................

    281455

Well, apparently 'Pink Fog' is rare and quite expensive  The only image of it I could find to copy I would have had to "Add to My Shopping Cart" and BUY :o  But the explaination I found was that the early dawns light filtering through fog will make it Pink. Oh and did you know there were 'Pink Pearls'?? here's a picture of them. They are also called 'Pink Fog' :o

The B.P. is at 30.00 and holding. It's warm for November 17th, 65 degrees and it's misting and overcast. Sort of a nice, easy day. The humidity is Probably around 90%. Very comfortable. I like it humid.

O.K., now for the Pink Fog.............................

  14. Lida held the map on her lap and kept a close eye on the guages and controls and directed him when he appeared to be getting nervous. He turned South back towards Indiana and flew as if he were a pro. He circled the farm a few times just to get in a little practice then landed the plane, a bit rough, but they got down without any damage to the plane or the street or themselves. He taxied up to the house then turned off the ignition and the master. "WHEW." He said as the plane became quiet. "I had fun, I really DID!" He told her. "Great, I knew you would if you could just RELAX!!!" She said with a smile. "Becka's probably got lunch all ready, let's go eat then get back to work, we've goofed off enough for one day." Lida said. They left the plane in front of the house and went inside.

  15. Aaron resigned himself to the fact that HE was going to be taking off THIS time. "OH Alright." He said. "Your usually right about stuff so I'll give it a go." He said as he climbed into the pilot's seat. Lida got in the passenger seat.

"Ok, let's go." He said couragously. Lida walked him through and showed him exactly what to do. " Master switch on, ok, now the ignition." She said. The engine started. " Push the throttle in a little at a time til we pick up speed, ok, good now we are at 88 miles per hour, pull back on the yolk." She told him. He did it. " Keep an eye on the artificial horizon Sweetie, keep the nose up now." She told him. he was doing great.

  16. They had been flying East now for about an hour when down below they spotted the Yacht and the Barge in tow. Lida pushed the yolk forward and descended towards them and flew over them. "Can you see them?" Lida asked Aaron as he peared out his side window. "Yep. I can see two adults, a man and a woman and two small children on the deck behind the bridge. That's a pretty big boat they commandered. Looks to be about 80 or 90 foot." Aaron said. Lida dropped her altitude and flew right over them, tipping the wings as to wave at them. They all waved back. She right, port, banked and flew over them again. Once more tipping the wings. Then back around once more to take a look at the locks. "Yep, looks like they made it through the locks alright. Let's go home." She said.

All this turning and manuevering of the plane made Aaron sick. "Want to land for a while?" Lida asked him. "Can we, PLEASE???" He answered. "Sure, no problem. Let me find us a highway or something, we'll be down in a minute." She told him. Lida found a stretch of highway relatively free of debri and landed the plane. Aaron quickly got out and relieved himself in back of the plane. But this time he didn't get sick. He walked around for a bit to settle his nerves. Lida walked up to him. "You know maybe if you were doing the actual driving you wouldn't feel this way?" she said. He looked at her

  17. As Aaron stuffed his mouth with cheese and corn muffins he heard the planes engine approaching the front of the house. He quickly gulped down the last of his tea and went out the front door. The tiny Piper sat there, propeller whirring around. Lida reached over from her seat and unlatched the passenger door and pushed it open. "Come on man, let's go." She yelled to him over the noise. Aaron ran down the front steps and hopped into the plane and slammed the door shut.

"Let's go." He said reluctantly. Lida drove the plane up the dirt road to the street, turned onto it then pushed in on the throttle, reached lift-off speed then pulled back on the yolk, they were in the air.

They headed North towards Canada. "Get the map out." Lida asked Aaron. "Where is it?" He asked. "Should be under your seat, just fish around under there." Aaron found the map then unfolded it in his lap. "What are we looking for?" He asked. " The Seaway, water, it's BLUE." She said as she pointed at the Seaway on the map. Aaron looked at the map. "O.K., I see it. And where are we?" He asked. "We are right about HERE." She said as she pointed at the map. Once they found the Seaway Lida flew East. "How's the fuel?" Aaron asked, obviously nervous. "We're ok, we have nearly full tanks, I checked that all out before we took off." She told him.

  18. The truck could be heard before it was seen. It came down the dirt road kicking up a cloud of dust as it approached the house. Abbie was behind the wheel. She pulled up to the barn and jumped out. "Mother, Father, I can drive!!!" She yelled in excitement. Lida and Able got out and walked over to them. "I saw sweetheart." Becka said. Abe praised his oldest daughter. "And Able, how'd you do?" he asked. "Great Father, it was easy." Able told him. Becka and Abe looked at Lida for confirmation. "Yep, they did just fine. Looks like we have two new drivers among us now." She said with an approving smile. They been out driving for nearly three hours, each of them drove the truck an equal amount of time without incident. They we pleased with themselves and set about hammering with the rest of the family.
