Happy Holidays, guys. Enjoy

Well if you look closely at "All Good Things" you'll see that the early Data is wearing Lieutenant pips even though Riker clearly called him Lieutenant Commander in "Encounter at Farpoint".
I think this was done to give Yar a more meaningful role in All Good Things, but still...
I have noticed that with Data. But I always thought it was because the hollow pip was hard to see.
I also noticed the Tuvok rank issue.

mj, are you aware that she does not have to get rid of the retirement plan?
Her retirement plan required her to registerfor Meidicare D. They started the whole ball rolling. There are changes coming because of what the government is doing. All I know is that we have done all the registering that they have asked us to do..... I think.
I am sorry to learn that. According to the Aetna meating I attended, some retirement plans did not require the change. I guess it depended on the plan.

Yes, VBG.
I have no idea what mine would be considered. I lived in different places while growing up. Probably a combination of Boston, Maryland and Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Yes, Laser Discs. They were the size of LPs.

I can't vote. Too tough of a choice.

Tough choice for me. But being that I love my present cat, Spot wins.

My statement applies to any OS. But yes, with the way things change now, a person will probably be buying a new system or new drive before the format is needed.

Never watched West Wing. But did watch LA Law.

Yeah, but unfortunetly a lot of people haven't had a clean install, and a lot have used other less secure browsers.
There are some thing that only a disk format will fix. I would recommend reinstalling windows at least every year under heavy use, as the registry will become full of junk and windows files will become corrupted; resulting in the computer running slower, crashing and maybe even take a major dive.
Windows is NOT a stable, secure or easy to fix OS.
I have always been under the understanding that a heavily used hardrive needs to be formatted about every two years. No matter what OS you are using. That is why a regular backup is a good idea.

I do think that he did a great job as Zek though, but I had not realized exactly who he was.
Yeah, he was great as Zek. I can't imagine anyone else filling that role.
That is so true. A lot of what makes him great is his voice.

I voted other on both because honestly I do not like pickles too much... but I do not mind them when they are on burgers. And I have no idea what brand the store uses, or what kind. They are often the little flat round pickle slices.
I believe they use hamburger pickles.

I realize that TMP is not the best movie in the bunch but it will always hold a special place in my heart for me. Being an original Trekker, having watched Trek from the first episode on, I suffered through the lean years after TOS got cancelled. TAS filled the void somewhat but it never felt like real Trek. When the announcement came about Trek being made into a movie, the excitement streaked through fandom like a lightning bolt! I had never before and never since been so excited about seeing a movie. When the day finally came, there were mobs at every theater. I felt like a little kid as I rushed into the theater. I cannot describe the emotion that washed over the audience at that first screening. When the first scene with the Klingons engaging Vger came on, I can honestly say that there were tears of joy streaming down my face. That scene is still one of my favorites out of any of the movies.
Thats what I remember every time I watch the movie and that is why I really love it.
That about covers it. There had not been a new Trek since 1969. Ten very lean years. It was great to see something new.
But Wrath of Khan was much much better.

The only TOS movie that I didn't care for was ST V, it just had a weak story. ST III was a good movie though, maybe some people didn't like it as much as ST II because II is widely considered that best of any of the Trek movies and it's hard to follow such a great movie.
I think III was treated harshly because it came after II. It had a very hard act to follow.
