  1. I agree live theater is so good. I am only able to see the local ones were I live, but I can wait until I can afford to go to a professional one.

I'm actually not very interested in theater (don't tell Sir Patrick, please lol) but I agree, it is quite a unique experience to see professional actors on stage. Especially Royal Shakespeare Company actors. They're all brilliant!

News! Look who visited Sir Patrick at the RSC:

    ;)

I do see a little theater when I get an chance (and have saved up the cash!). Saw 3 plays in NYC recently: House of Blue Leaves, Lombardi (the Green Bay Football coach) and How to Succeed in Business (with Daniel Radcliffe). One of my theatre highlights is still seeing Sir Patrick in Chichester a few years ago.

Sir Patrick is going to appear in a BBC version of Richard II.!

    More information over here. :)

It's nice to see Sir Patrick's acting available to a wider audience through appearances on the BBC. Also great that some cultural things are being done in conjunction with the Olympics, even if we have to wait until 2012...

Kudos as always for keeping us up to date with Sir Patrick news!!!

  2. There has been a series of pushes, for some time, to have something in every county in the US named after Reagan. As far as money goes, there was a push at one time for Reagan to replace Roosevelt on the dime, but it was strenuously opposed who remember the connection between Roosevelt and the March of Dimes.

As stated before I get tens at the bank when I ask, though they tend to offer to give mainly twenties. Still not getting tens in change much at all.

  3. I did watch $#*! My Dad Says and found it amusing. Not great but light entertainment. I'm sorry to see it cancelled.

I find it disappointing that the networks don't give new shows more time to catch on. They often move shows around to different time slots and then say they don't have enough viewers. Worst of all is the emergence of so many stupid reality shows that are cheap to make and somehow gain enough viewers to be watched for years, while better shows get cancelled or never picked up.

  4. I don't think a remastered TNG would make nearly as much an impact as the remastered TOS.

Kor, I agree. I also am concerned that if they remaster it, they will either give the people involved background cameos, as they did with TOS, or that they will be tempted to change scenes. Old fashioned or not, what was filmed is supposed to be canon. Don't tinker with it.

  5. I like this idea. It's better than nothing, waiting for years between movies

I'd be fine with new actors filling in, so long as they could sound and do decent characterizations of the originals or the new casts. I agree it shouldn't be cheaply done otherwise, don't bother.

One thing a must for me would be for them to produce it to be canon.

Excellent point about the need for a new series to be canon.

I personally think TAS should have been canon, though that cat lady was a bit out there! Most of the stories were interesting and a few were excellent.

High quality, beleivable animation, sound and FX, and canon would be great.

  6. This could certainly provide Trek on TV. Hopefully the animation would be state of the art. More importantly, the stories would be of top flight caliber, AND the voices would be those of either the original TOS actors, with someone stepping in for Scotty and Bones, OR have the voices of the new 2009 Trek actors, though that could be too expensive. Doohan did a number of guest voices on TAS too, so that would have to be addressed.

  7. It was Daniel indeed, as seen here. ;) I want the pic he's taking. lol

You, and I, were right. Yay us! :Hmmm...:

Kudos on always coming up with great info and pics. And thanks for sharing the Speech info.

Hehe yes our guess was correct indeed!

You're very welcome. I love to provide information (and pics) whenever I get the chance to. If only I could work for Sir Patrick in a way... *dreams* *lol* Bodyguard would be my number one job choice... but I'd gladly be his personal assistant as well. Or the one who makes sure he dresses decently before he leaves the house. :P :P

Personal assistant sounds great. If you submit a resume, you could include the pic of "that" tie you posted, plus more fashion appropriate choices!
