  1. Those boring "sky" backdrops need to go, replaced with dazzling vistas which stretch back to a realistic horizon and skies with clouds and "birds". I could go on and on...

I hear you AE, Doomsday Machine was by far the best remastered episode I've seen. I would have like to see them give that treatment to every episode, however the only TOS series I have on DVD is Season 2 remastered and 4 of the old 2 per DVD episodes. Given the choice of the 2004 editions or the new remastered sets, I'll go with the new versions (sound, picture and whatnot).

I was watching the last few remastered episodes on normal broadcast TV and when Requiem for Methuselah aired I'm looking at Flint's robot assitant M4... Yikes! replace that cheap looking thing! Nomad looked 10 times better.

  2. On Kronos: Historically Conservative's are often more aggressive than Liberals in stating their opinions. The problem I see is the Left often break under the Rights pressure; they then either give up or cross the line going from arguing their case to fighting which draws a Warning PM from me. They then hi-tail-it-out blaming me for not doing something to protect them and/or accusing me of being bias. Note: the same has also occurred in reverse but Righties, for some reason I don't understand, tend to better deal with being disciplined.

It's interesting I had a simliar thought when I read the note on their page. If they would stick around instead of splitting perhaps they wouldn't be sooooo outnumbered anymore and the numbers fo lefties to righties would tend to even out. At any rate promoting a shared interest in Star Trek/Sci-Fi is I think the #1 reason everyone is here.

  3. One of the top 10 Star Trek episodes ever!

Excellent Spock episode. As for the critique of Spock being stronger therefore he should have been easy victor...

    1. Spock was not at 100% due to Pon Far/Blood Fever/McCoy's comments that he probably couldn't take Stonn in his current condition, the main reason he accepted the challenge to begin with.

    2. Kirk was perhaps the most skilled pugilist the Federation has ever known and was always more than able handle himself against any opponent.

  4. I know I see pages and pages of Vic posts about whoever's anniversary each and every week. Well over 90% are gone.

I clicked on one old members profile for the 1st time yesterday that had over 4,000 posts and they left a fairly nasty good-bye note on their page about liberals being beaten up by the moral majority of conservatives here @ STF.NET and whatnot. You just hate seeing good members leave a Star Trek site over some political BS like that, when the mission statement here for all members should primarily be their interest in Star Trek and sharing other fun things as well, however good members posting fun/interesting topics will pull more new members. :)

  5. If... I were single

If... I didn't have three children

I would love to. I would show you guys how to run some online Star Trek RPG characters! :)

Unfortunately I just don't see me having the free time being a good little buzzzzzzzzy Mommy/Wifey.

It sure does sound like great fun though.

  6. Well, I didn't like "Tuvix." Egh... Tuvok and Neelix merged? That is the worst idea ever. And when Tuvix said that he didn't want to die... that was... ergh. I don't know what the big trouble was. I would have separated them in a minute. Because he's not one person, he's two. That guy was only thinking of himself, and not of his impact on others, which is something Tuvok and Neelix would never do. Plus... Tuvok is one of my favorite characters... and Neelix my least favorite... so to see them merged was just... terrible.

I personally LOVED the episode Tuvix.

I also loved the episode Faces that was the same concept in reverse, when B'Elanna Torres was split into two separate Klingon and Human versions of B'Elanna Torres.
