Since I've surfed the internet on Scott Bakula I never found any bad word about him. These words from Trineer perfectly fit to what I've read. What a nice way to describe a colleague.

And there are so many other great characters he embodied. Yesterday I watched again my tape "In the shadow of a killer". He is brilliant as a cop who has to fight against his environment in order to follow his moral beliefs.

If ever men will go and explore space I want to be represented by a person like Jon Archer. He is able to go beyond his preconceptions like in

"Detained " when he was able to differ between the Cabal and "normal" Sulban people,

"The Shipment" when he decided to trust a Xindi,

He had also hard moral decisions to make like in:

"Extinction" when he didn't destroy the virus, the last remaining of a gone civilization

"Dear Doctor" when he had to make the choice if to help he predominate race

"Fight or flight" doing what T'Pol recommended leaving the dead crew alone or informing their people so that they could be burried.

This look from those incredibly green eyes, the intense way he looks at his counterpart and the way he bend his head and looks up does it for me every time. And this body like a Greek God, who could resist to that?

Yeah, the funeral is a very special moment.

One sence I also like very much: When Kirks holds back Bones in his attempt to rescue Edith Keeler in "City on the edge of forever" and Spocks says "he knows that". That scene also belongs to the best moments.

I think that we the fans need to bring this really important matter the TPTB's attention.

Travis deserves more screen time.  It seems that even some of the non-bridge crew ensigns get more screentime then he does.

 

If this does not improve beyond season 3....

I think we should start a letter writing initiative or petition, etc.

 

Travis may be a "less important" character in terms of rank... buts he's a reocurring cast member credited in the opener!!  He hardly gets enough screen time to mentioned in the opening credits.

I also liked the scenes between Malcolm and Lt. Talas. It was so much fun to see the knocking heads in the frist place and than developing a good co-operation. And I sensed a certain attraction/crackle in they way they wer looking at each other. Like that.

Great the reference to "The shipment" which is one of my fav eps! "The shipment reflects my notion of Star Trek at it's best.

Archerite - I couldn't stop laughing. Shran was brilliant in that scene - ok, like in the whole eoisode.

I would not judge Shran's way of action as betrayal. IMO that's a too hard expression. He had his obligations to his people (and his superiors) which feel threatend by the Vulcans. It was obvious that he struggled hard to meet his orders AND his wish for an alliance with the humans. I agree, I think he was the one who sent the specs to the Enterprise.

The Trip/Shran scene was really a touchy one. Trip had only few scenes in this ep but good ones.

You may be surprised but I voted none. I like she show very much and I would watch it anyhow.

But it would be extremely hard for me if they lost Jon.

Do you ask for logic or reasons when it comes to broadcasting stations? FORGET THAT!!

Here in Germany they stopped airing in the middle of season 2 (right after "The crossing") begining of December.

And next Saturday at 7.30 p.m. (simultaneaous to soccor - when ENT can only lose) they start right from the beginning with "Broken Bow". It was said that this was the wish of the fans !!!!!!!??????

The ST boxes are rather expensive here in Germany. If you are lucky you get them for approx. EUR 90,-- (= US $ 72). That's why I try to get the boxes I do not need that urgent cheaper from ebay. Unfortunately a lot of people do the same.......
