  1. Hi Aussies and everyone who visited West Australia!

My hubby and I are planning our this year's vacation. We'll want to visit West Australia in October/november 2004. Of course we'll visit Perth, the Wave Rock, the Pinacles and Monkey Mia.

Are there any other places you would recommand? Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

  2. I voted yes, but not a TNG movie. As to me their time is over. I liked the TNG movies (especially First Contact) but after Nemesis and the death of Data I think it's over.

As to me a new movie would be a good opportunity to introduce something completely new - possibilities for a new show if the people like it (of course after 7 seasons ENT). If it were a success they could develop the next show in 2 or 3 movies and than go on with TV eps of it.

One comment about quality and quantity. There had been lot's of time to develop a good movie but for me ST The motion picture isn't really the best of all ST movies. So plenty of time doesn't guarantee a good movie.

  3. I'm optimistic and sure of - ENT WILL last for 7 seasons AND it won't be the end of Trek. As long as the franchise is making a lot of money it won't end. Paramount would be nuts if they stopped their money maschine.

For myself I have to say I'm not fed up. For me it could go on like this forever (I mean one show for 7 years after the other) - hey it's science fiction: anything goes!

  4. I've been to several conventions here in Germany.

One was in Mannheim a few years ago. That was a rather "intimate" convention. They had Scotty (I'll never forget me and my friends on a couch joking with Scotty), Uhura, Sarek and their German "voices".

And each year there is a big convention in Bonn. For 4 years I've been going there for only Saturday. But this year I'll stay the whole week-end jjjiiipppeee!!! (Thanks Stormy for giving me a home during the week-end)

The latest announcement says that Grace Lee Whitney (Janice Rand) will be there. And Connor Trineer, Anthony Montgomery, Robert Picardo,Tim Russ + + + +

Hopefully they all will come - I hardly can't wait til May 21st.

  5. My first name is Petra.

Since my family couldn't agree upon the name they gave me 2 middle names: Christa Angela (I always wished someone would call me that way).

I envy you Unadopted Angelic, I wished my first name would have been Angela too

  6. I voted 9

I enjoyed it very much - although the VOY ep came imediatiately on my mind. But the story fits to the Expanse. The ENT crew is lacking of time so for me the plot was logical. And Billingsley did an incredible job!!!

Okay I also have to admit I'm easily to scare. I was biting my lips and at various scenes I had to close my eyes. Yes - I can't stand such movies when

    Click for Spoiler:

someone is alone in a house, a spaceship etc.

Phlox naked - I loved it. It was so hilarious.

And when he left the elevator full of fear - I couldn't stop laughing.

  7. Years ago I didn't mention that I'm a Trek fan - due to obvious reasons. But age has it's privileges. For the last 2 year I tell everyone when it comes to hobbies that I'm a Trek fan. And I do not care what they think about me. I claim the same right for me as every sports or whatever fan to enjoy my hobby.

  8. Where did the Xindi get the information from that the humans will be a thread to them?

Archer was told about the Xindi by the Future Guy. I'm speculating the he may also "informed" the Xindi. Could he have manipulated both races in order to archieve an advantage in the Temporal Cold War.

The humans and specially Archer are key points for the development of this war - remember Shockwave - So Archer and humanity weakened by a more advanced and with more ships equipped race could make sense to the Future Guy.

Okay, I'm only speculating. But what do you think about this?

  9. You surely know me as a big ENT fan. But I only rated Harbinger 5.

There are scenes in it I liked very much but there are open questions. I'd be glad if anyone could help me with this:

    Click for Spoiler:

After "Stratagem" Enterprise is on it's way to Azati Prime. But who knows that? No-one could know. So why did anyone (the Xindi?) leave a pod in that anaomaly?

If the goal was to destroy Enterprise how could anyone know they'd come this way? Would anyone prepare such a mission on the pure possiblity that Enterprise passes by by chance? A lot of efforts were made to give the alien all his abilities. There must be a good reason for this. But I cannot see it if it .

And why did the alien want so badly be brought back on his pod when he awoke in the first place?

I liked very much the scene with Trip and Malcolm in the mess hall - priceless.

Malcolm and Hayes knocking heads - so much fun to see. And hey, Jon can get angry! I loved that!!!

Speaking about T'Pol and Trip. That Vulcans cannot lie must be a myth. Because as to me T'Pol has feelings for Trip. Remember how she reacted during the extra practicing. She was distracted, she was jealous! But now she cannot deal with her emotions - her doing. That's my impression.

  10. I'm just reading it and I have to say I like it. At present I'm in the middle of the book and I can't hardly wait to go on.

Til now I can recognize Trip in the book. The story is thrilling, Trip cares about Hoshi, the ship, his friends. And he sees his responsibilty and is carefull with giving technology away. The thing with Trand, well that hasn't happened yet - for me.
