Losing ones taste would help when it came to losing weight. It wouldn't be hard to cut down on your favourite goodies if you couldn't taste them.

Well done ! -

Hello Trip KPSJA 37 I know you will enjoy your stay with us.

Well Done everybody ! -
The more you read the funnier it gets.

The best thing I can make is applets ....eg, Snow scenes, rippling water, etc.

Favourite ....." The Lion in Winter " with Katharine Hepburn as Eleanor of Aquitane, Peter O'Toole as Henry 11, and a young Anthony Hopkins as Richard. It was made in 1968. This is my number 1 movie of all time. It wasn't an action movie as such, just brilliant acting
Scariest .... "Alien ", " Jaws "
Funniest ... " Mars Attacks ", " The Holy Grail "
Most Thought Provoking " Contact "
Saddest ... " Edward Scissorhands " I have seen this movie about 10 times now, and I cry every time.
Off Beat ... " The Naked Lunch " This was very bizarre, I kept watching hoping it would make sense. But no ! ...Never again !
Romantic ... " Sleepless In Seattle "

I'm always in Sev Trek.

I voted for the Holodoc because he is programmed with the medical knowledge of all other species as well as human. And he has a great sense of humour, which is needed for a good bedside manner.

I saw both Michael Dorn, and Robert Picardo in ' Memmo Mind '. But don't rush out to get the video, it was terrible.

Jeffery Hunter played Jesus in " King of Kings "

Good old Kirk ! I have just voted in the poll at Trek today:)

Another thing I like to do is .... 1/ Take 2 cutlery forks. 2/ Interlock the prongs. 3/ Take a match and insert it into the prongs. 4/ Then finally get a tall glass, and balance the match tip onto the glass...and behold it balances the forks. It always suprises me how a small match can hold the weight of the forks. And another thing that surprises me ... How does it stay there in the first place ?

Here's an unusual but yummy salad...Bacon and Carmelised Pear Salad
(you can also dredge chicken breast strips in flour with a 1 tspn cinnamon and some cracked pepper and cook in frypan- slice and serve on top of salad)
2 cups fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 tablespoon white wine
salt and pepper to taste
3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
2 pears - peeled, cored and cut into wedges
1 cup walnut halves
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 pound prosciutto, cut into thin strips or 5 bacon rashers
2 muscelin lettuces , rinsed and torn
(fancy salad lettuces- a mixture of slightly strong and crisp lettuces- I've even used baby spinach leaves)
1 In a medium saucepan, heat orange juice over medium-high heat, whisking often, until it is reduced by 1/4.
2 Add to a blender, along with the vinegar, onion, sugar, wine, salt and pepper, and process until smooth. Then, while blending on a low speed, remove cap and slowly drizzle in the olive oil to emulsify (thicken) the dressing. Chill until ready to use.
3 Melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Saute pears and nuts in butter for 3 minutes. Add sugar and water and cook, stirring constantly, until golden brown and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
4 In a large bowl, combine prosciutto (or bacon), lettuce and the pear and walnut mixture. Add vinegrette and toss to coat. Serve on a large platter. Enjoy!
Looks ... Yummy ! I must try that.

I'm embarrassed to say I've never read any Star Trek books.

One I remember well.....It was after some world disaster, and the few survivers where living like people in the stone age. One thing I can remeber is a cart with sails.

Is it painful ? I think it must be, being the size of a pea. A small piece of grit causes a lot of pain.
Anyhow I hope things work out for you, and you get better soon.

I don't think that you would want to know about my dreams. They are about Armageddon.

When I was back in the UK, I got deja-vu quite a lot. I once went to Canterbury and seemed to know the place quite well. Having said that, I had never been there before in my life, so how could I have had such a familiarity of the place. You know the saying " I've been here before ". Sometimes I think memories from ones ancestors are passed on.
I have never had that feeling since being in New Zealand.

I absolutely refuse to vote in here.

I agree, I think they should let Trek be....I can't believe I said that.
Shindlers List Question
in Holodeck 1: 20th & 21st Century Entertainment
Posted
I have a question that is not Sar trek related but I had to put it somewhere
In the film " Schindlers List " What was the significance of the little girl with the red coat ? When it was a black, and white film.
