DON"T GO!!! Diversity is strengh, mon!!! Some of my favourite posters are people who are SOOO different - Klingonmike, we need people like everyone here - if Janeway and Chakotay always got along, the show would be BORING!!! smoke a joint and CHILL, mon...

Whatever happened to the experimental trans-warp drive on the Excelsior? Scotty shorted it out, and then poof! - it just disappears? anyone?....

I think Data downloaded his core to the other android for a very good reason - now Data's original character, that of pinnochio lost, is restored - we get all the innocence, all the quirks, and no messing around from his 'emotion ' chip - see the design? Not to be a stinker, but I knew he was dead as soon as the download happened ... you know, Tonto will NEVER die, and neither will Lone Ranger....

My favourite Star Trek book ever was based on TOS - it was called "How Much For Just The Planet?", was written as a comedy, and did not disappoint ... I laughed and laughed ... the Vulcan outcast is hilar....

Now I see ... our teen years, their senoir years ... cool
As for the trilogy, why'n't? They did it for Star Wars (hiss, hiss...)
-
okay, CJLP, I'm not sure about the Okampan lifespan, but I am SOOO with you on the two-parter!!!
They should produce an epic trilogy (!!!), and spend some money!!!! Kes coming back in the movie would be really neat, regardless of storyline...

i might be wrong, but hadn't Janeway and Tuvok just demanded that they not be fitted with some cortical link with the Borg?; after retaining their 'individuality', a representative was sent to deal with them in their 'vocal' workings - could Seven have been addressing herself as an individual as an introduction to their dealings? hmmm.... :borg:
:borgqueen: .......

I think both Voyager and DS9 missed out on being more popular shows. The quality of acting was just so much better than most television showsWhat I don’t understand is if DS9 was not popular cause it was "stationary", (Hehe) why didn’t the fans jump back on the bandwagon in droves with VOY? IT went somewhere!
I remeber giving Voyager a REALLY hard time because they weren't the crew from TNG - it took a while for me to be swept away, so to speak - now I can't imagine liking TNG better ... don't cut off my head, everyone, but Voyager was a better series - I also remeber hearing, before the inception of the show, that Voyager was based on LIS - ummm, the Kazon sucked, and, ummm, DS9 was stationary, so they had to develop the series into a continuous drama (more like a soap) - anyone remember that horrible DS9 episode where they flew the station around? -circa season one, ugh...

definitly a GREAT idea, but wouldn't Kes be dead by now? -transcendant powers and all, aren't Okampans dead by nine?
-
Thank you for the interesting topic - gottaluv gottabite! - LONG LIVE VOYAGER!!!
-
ummm, sounds like a certain super-power to me ... yikes ...

CONGRATS!!!

HAPPY B-DAY!!!

I don't like the idea of a new cast, and ENT is outta there for me; Star Trek should not have jumped on the prequel bandwagon (yech!) - I really think a trilogy, an epic, something involing both DS9 and Voyager would work, and if it comes down to a choice, Voyager (pour moi); can I just say, CJLP, you know your stuff...

didn't know that about Insurrection - thanks Takara ... hmmm ... crossover ....
-
ST: The Wrath of Khan was a perfect example of harmonious action/human development; i agree that Insurrection was lacking action, but Nemesis wasn't all THAT bad - Riker and Troi got married, Guinan and Wesley were back, i mean, it wasn't all action - i agree that sacrifices are made to appeal to a broader audience, but don't forget the audience you've already got.... B)

READY TO RAMBLE!!! -ok, i heard Stewart in an X2 interview say that he wouldn't be averse to another installment ... i thought Nemesis succeded brilliantly as a sequel, but the numbers may not have been there, and i blame that on Frakes ... Insurrection was a trumped up TV episode, and i almost didn't bother with Nemesis because of the prior disappointment ... i think the same fate befell the Undiscovered Country, due to the previous (and pitiful) Where No Man Has Gone; Shatner's grandstanding at it's worst - as for Data being dead, COME ON!!! ... we are ST fans and we know better!!! -now, who's next, right? ... the whole argument over DS9 or Voyager; although i'm Voyager biased, anyone who has seen either series knows they are BOTH worthy of the torch, sooo .... why not BOTH??? ... here we have studios putting out (i've said this before) masterpieces like Matrix and Lord of the Rings ... hello, Paramount, where are you???? anyone home??? -a stupendous franchise, guaranteed success, and ... ??? -it's time for our favourite studio to put there money into the next installment (s!!!) - there is no reason that both DS9 and Voyager cannot graduate to the next level ... with the proper powers in place, we could have some serious works of SF art on our hands, not to mention creating a whole new generation of ST fans - i call for Paramount to get it's proverbial in gear ... and no more grand-standing, eh? B)

okay, i just about died laughing when i saw the sperm comment - i know, i know, about the toilet paper and cell-phones, but all i meant was that technological advancement breeds social sensitizing - we invent it, we get used to it - and by the way, i LOVE my pillow .... B)
-
now there's an idea, eh? Admiral Janeway, special consulate for Temporal Directives ... hmmm ... I wonder, with all the individualities surfacing in so many of the Federation's dealings with the Borg, could we possibly have a re-evaluated Collective in our future? Last, but not least ....
Voyager Movie, YESSSSSS!!!!! B)
-
i liked Voyager's design, ultimately, and agree that her systems were experimental and looked different for that reason
-
i agree with CJLP - if you don't need it, why use it? - it's sad that automobiles on the whole are so destructive to our environment - i hate watching traffic go by, seeing empty seats in vehicles that are designed with no mind to function - whatever happened to the steam engine, eh? - gotta love those ads, too, where the family conquers the outdoors in their new SUV - yeah, take the mountain trail, jack! - yah right!!!
