  1. Sheesh...no appreciation for true art! :)

B-grade horror films are the finest films on the planet Earth!

    Bad FX,terrible acting,cheesy monsters,pretty girls....what more could you possible want? :)

Boa Vs. Python.....hehehe...I bought it on DVD a couple of weeks ago. Can't help myself.....I'm addicted to these kinds of movies. One day,I hope to actually be involved in the production of one of these straight-to-DVD late night chillers. It's be really cool to be killed by some goofy monster.Like a radioactive gerbil...or a two-headed man-eating chickenstein! :)

  2. I'm not sure Star Trek has really affected me more than any other television show I've ever really liked.

My mother thought Trek sparked my interest in astronomy and space as a teenager, but it was the other way around. My fascination with space and my imagination concerning what we might one day discovery "up there",led me to Star Trek:TNG when it debuted.

Actually,it's kind of tragic....but at school I was considered much cooler before I geeked out on TNG and began discussing Trek with teachers and wearing Trek shirts.

  3. Okay,Sisko never whined about Section 31....but he did have a holier than thou attitude when it came to the Section's tactics during the Dominion War,which was very irritating.

As for the incident with Garak murdering the Romulans,I believe when Sisko found out and attacked Garak,Garak told him something like "You knew perfectly well what you were asking for when you decided to involve me in this..."

Sisko wanted Garak to kill the Romulan delegate. He knew the murder, plus the falsified information regarding the Dominions interest in the Romulan Star Empire would drive the Roms into the Alliance.

I think the DS9ers should have been more willing to assist the Section in its campaign against the Dominion, rather than always opposing them.

  4. I don't know if illegal drag racing is a problem where you live, but its been getting a lot of attention here.

Last weekend 3 teens were killed when the car they were racing rolled. That makes a total of about a half-dozen fatalities and seven or eight seriously injured kids in the past three-years.

Local officials are trying to decide whether or not to build the local youth a drag strip where they can race more safely, with officials overseeing the weekend events....or to bulk up police presence on the many backroads in order to shut the illegal races down and punish those participating (even those just watching would be subject to stiff fines).

One of my brothers owns a garage here and he personally makes modifications to many of the cars used by the local dragsters. After this last tragedy he has told me the that he isn't going to modify any more cars for the purpose of racing them.I agree with that, but there are a dozen other guys who will take his place.

I used to race in high school,so did all of my brothers, and our father before us.Its been going on on backroads all through the south since the 50's.But I can't recall ever hearing about so many accidents and deaths before. Are the cars becoming too fast,or are the kids worse drivers,or both?
