However, in the light of intent the picture is different.  Archer was not thinking of himself and was even willing to experience discomfort to benefit others.  In contrast T'Pol thought only of herself and was willing to inconvenience others to fulfill her wants.

Please feel free to discuss whether intent matters or only actions?  Or whether you saw the character's intent differently?

I had intended to start a post about T'Pol that would have said the exact thing . This is one of the reason I really don't like her character. The entire human race is on the line and she puts the mission in jeopardy to experiment with a dangerous drug to alleviate her personal medical problems. Phlox should have notified the Captain of this failure in judgement and her condition and she should have been removed from her position as first officer. She could have had a relapse at any time. At another time her behavior might have been more forgivable but not at that time and not on that mission.

  2. I'm sceptical and a little dissapointed. I was hping for a tleast a joint cast movie but there's going to be a ENT movie? ENT is a okay show but does it really have the fan base for a major film? I do hopeBRaga will comeback because I 've lost faith in B&B's movie making skills. It may be worth seing if Blalocks not in it!

  3. I've tried to watch Spike TV on several occasions but I find their constant advertising of Spike TV during the episodes too distracting and rather annoying. Plus I also find their concept of "The first network for men" to be rather silly.

That's my chief complaint about Spike tv. They turn TNN into one of the most moronic channels on tv and call

it the first network for mwn. What an insult!

  4. The passing of Ronald Reagain saddens me more than I thought it would. Even though I'm not on the same side of the political aisle so to speak. I'm really on neither side. I could never bring myself to dislike this man. I'm a child of the 80's and RR was president during most of that time and I consider this period one of the the happiest times in my life at present. It was good being a kid back then imo. Back then I didn't know or care about which party the president belonged to, he was just the President and I noticed that he could give a speech and could hold my youthful and limited attention span. I have a lot of fond memories of that period and I feel that I've lost a part of my childhhood. Rest in peace President Reagan.

  5. I really do like B5 but DS9 had better space battles imo. Ds9's certainly looked beter due to the state of technology at the time. The dominion war was also more of a convincing war and was fought on more than one front and lasted a bit longer. In B5 they made a big deal about the shadows but they did not really have very many battles with them and the war ended far too quickly.

  6. I'm with you Unicorn Hunter (and the majority it seems) every week T'Pol is more of a travesty to Vulcan culture and if she gets the axe I will be delighted. :(

I saw Linda Park and Tom Hardy in a play in London last week and that girl can act - it is a pity she is so under-utilised.

I really don't like T'pol. I've tried to give her a chance but I just dont like her character. There is nothing wrong with being and individual but I always thought Vulcans carried themselves with a degree of dignity that T'Pol does not have. After she admitted her problem to the doctor she should have been relieved. If she joins SF that will be another count against this otherwise decent show.

  7. Naval construction contract sounds convincing too! I rather like this plot idea and I do think there is a several blaring continuity problems. I think there are more apparent contiunuity problems in ENT than in the other shows imo. This does not mak it a bad show though. I think history should be taken seriously especially when one is trying to write it backwards so to speak.
