Okay, when Trip crashed on the alien moon in Dawn - they said the engines wouldn't work in that atmosphere so did they leave that craft behind. How about Desert Crossing when they were rescued by the shuttle and Zobral leaving one shuttle behind- did they go back for that shuttle?  Were their other episodes I've forgotten?  Do they make new ones?

    I wondered that too.

Let's see how rough the boys have been on those poor little shuttlepods:

Breaking the Ice--damaged on the comet, but retrieved with Vulcans' help

Shadows of P'Jem--shot down over Coridan

Shuttlepod One--damaged, engine ejected and exploded, shuttle retrieved

Desert Crossing--left on desert planet, presumably retrieved

Shockwave 1--involved on ignition of atmostpere (had to be some damage there)

Dawn--crashed on moon, engine incapacitated, shuttlepod retrieval unknown

Cease Fire--shot down while landing on Weytahm/Paan Mokar, retrieval unknown

    Canamar--shuttlepod presumably seized, presumably returned

    Did I leave anything out?

  2. I too would love to see MBR make a guest appearance on ENT. I'm supprised that she hasn't been asked to be a part of the show.

Here's a suggestion as to a guest role: Since there's talk of having Q appear, how about Mrs. Q?

  3. I found this bit of trivia...

While filming "The Wounded", there was a scene in which Colm Meaney was serving Keiko steak and potatoes for dinner. The potatoes had to get from the spoon to the plate easily, while he continued with the dialogue, moved around, served himself, etc. After about a zillion takes, it finally worked, except that one small piece of potato bounced off the plate and onto the table. So, Colm improvised, and quickly popped it in his mouth. "Cut!" "What was wrong with that?" "Well, you popped that potato in your mouth." "Yeah, so?" "Well, you can't do that -- see, this is a self-cleaning ship." "I got to it FIRST."

I also often wondered how the ship was cleaned. That bit of info was great.

Still...something has to clean it. Maybe little DRD's come out of the wall whenever a spill, explosion, etc. is detected. Of course that would mean there are sensors all in the floors, walls, and ceilings.

As for what's on the flooring, I remember seeing some type of carpeting in the corridors for TNG. TOS-some sort of grey flat flooring, possibly battleship linolium, or more probably painted plywood. (Low budget, ya know.) ENT- again flat grey, probably a cushioned type of marley flooring they now use in gyms and for dance floors. Don't remember about DS9 or VOY.

  4. Y'all have already pretty much said how I feel about Trek.

I would like to add one thing though. I love seeing the "fantasy" technology become reality. Just to name a few: Hyposprays are used by medical teams in underdeveloped countries, the millitary uses types of scanners to detect chemical agents, and let's not forget the communicators (cell phones). I remember a time when a phone was a thing that was ALWAYS connected to the wall by a cord. (Yes, I grew up with the dinosaurs.) We now have the beginnings of a transporter. An Aussie research teams has successfully transported a laser beam. Next stop, matter. I can't wait !

  5. I loved those. I love Indiana Jones!

My favorite scene in all 3 movies was in "Raiders" when Indy encountered the Arab in the marketplace. The arab was twirling his sabre, Indy gives this look of "I don't feel like putting up with this crap", whips out his pistol and blows him away.

    Great stuff.

  6. I think ENT will be the series that explores it beyond it being the place where the Klingon and Romulan empires reside, as well as explain all the new aliens that we don't see in later series. B)

I hope so. Especially since Archer is an enemy of the Klingon Empire, and somewhere along the line we should be starting the Romulan War.

By the way, which Quadrant is the Delphic Expanse in?

  7. We're still a long way (I hope) from the final episode. They may complete that arc by the end of season 3 or 4 and be on to the Romulans by then.

I'm sure there's a plan somewhere to conclude it so it doesn't totally screw up the timeline though.

I really hope they dont end up just pressing the reset button at the end.I would be really dissappointed in Star Trek if they did B) .

    Ditto to you both.

I would like to see the end of the TCW by the end of season 4. Starting the Romulan War (or the beginningds of it) after that would be good.

Please, please, please, TPTB don't push the "reset button" at the end of the series.
