  1. I think an old member named Jeanway ate most of the cotton candy a couple years back. I didn't think there was any left... :yahoo:

What was the problem the mods had with Jeanway anyway? Sure she and I spared quite a bit but that was it, it was sparing and not actual combat. She and I kept in touch for a while after she was booted.

As stated in the Terms of Service we cannot discuss those types of issues.

Discussion of board business, such as disciplinary actions against members or mod actions, is not allowed on the open boards. If you have questions regarding an action taken, PM the board admin or a mod. Staff members must be able to contact members via PM.

  2. I am not really looking for a real world reason for it, we all know what that would be. I am looking more for speculation on what could have caused it in the Trek universe. Such as the virus that caused the Klingon's appearance to be changed for several generations.

  3. I have been debating this with a friend and wanted to open it up for speculation from others on the forum. We all know that the Romulans are an off shoot of the Vulcan race. So therefore should look similar in appearence.

So with that being said I am trying to determine what caused the romulan race to go from looking like this

I have proposed a theory but will hold it back to see what others believe.

  4. Well this is a new supply from the Romulan Empire, Jeanway hasn't had a chance to eat any of it yet lol. Here you go RikerChick!

And here's some special Romulan Ale flavored cotton candy for you ddillard lol

Sounds great. That should make the work day go by faster, lol.

  5. I was just reminded of this thread by the technology that we now have available.

You can now get a box from Netflix that will let you watch streaming video of about 10,000 movies and tv shows.

Also, if you have a Tivo you can go to Amazon and have movies and TV shows downloaded directly to your Tivo. You can either do these as rentals or buy them. If you buy them you can redownload them pretty much any time you just don't have to keep track of them at home.

Amanda Tapping (Carter from Stargate) also has started a series last year that was completely online and you just paid for each episode to watch it.

Also, most network stations put many of their shows on their websites for viewing with just a few short commercials. I use this alot at work, since it is convenient and I can watch it anywhere I have a net connection.

With these things in mind it only reinforces my belief that standard programming as we know it will become a thing of the past, and most likely it will happen during most of our lifetimes.
