  1. I've noticed that too.And have you also noticed they have shown films and TV shows that are not even what I would consider Sci-Fi. For example last week they showed the film "Village of the Damned" which to me is more of a horror flick that a sci-fi one,and they have these shows liked Crossing Over and Scare Tactics that are certainly not sci-fi.

they need to stick with sci-fi and only sci-fi. Like you said, shows films like "Taken" and "Dune" are perfect for this network. They need to do make more films like that for the Sci-Fi Channel.

  2. One of the things I like about the slasher films are when you see these teenagers doing absolutly the wrong thing everytime! For example, they know there is a killer running loose outside so one of them decides to go out to the car and see if they can get help,I find myself yelling at the screen "Don't go outside stupid, you'll die!!!" but they go and they get killed.

I guess the good thing about these films are if you ever find yourself in a situation where there is a crazed killer running around with a chainsaw or large butcher knife, you'll know what stupid things NOT to do when running for your life! <_<

  3. Good luck on your test man! Norfolk is a great town,I've been there many times and seen a few concerts at the Scope!

My uncle was the Chief of the the fire department for Newport News for many, many years. I'm sure you'll pass the test with flying colors!

  4. I totally agree the TOS films are the best of all the Star Trek films,Wrath of Kahn and Undiscovered Country being the absolute best. The TNG films are all very good to they just seem to be missing something that the TOS films seem to have.

Oh and CJLP,another correction. Scotty hit his head on the bulkhead in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. and I agree with you, that was a very funny scene. :)

  5. Its good to see I'm not the only one who enjoys this wonderful show.I find it very informative and I can now make my own mousse! :)

Hey UH,I'm sure there has to be a gay man out there somewhere that eats beanie weenies.

As someone who has spent years working in the theatre I know about the gay sterotype thats placed on men who act. I was in a Shakespeare play a couple of years ago (Much Ado About Nothing) and some friends of mine came to see the performance. One of those friends overheard a conversation by a boy and his father that was seated in front of her and she said the boy asked his father "Is he one?" and the father replied,"If he is wearing tights, then he is." Talking about teaching your kids the wrong lesson. But we all laughed about it because out of the whole cast there was only one gay guy,and he was the only one NOT wearing tights!

They say ignorance is bliss, and some people like to remain blissfull.

  6. This is a great episode, and no I don't believe its a rip off of "Undiscovereed Country" the only simularities are a Klingon Trial and being sent to Rura Pentha. They are two completely different story lines. You must understand,Klingons have trials, and if they are not executed for their crimes they are sent to prison and Rura Pentha just happens to be the Klingon version of a maximum security prison.

"Undiscovered County" was about how the Federation and Klingon Empire began their truce and peacefull co-existance,and the conspiracy to stop that peace.

The only problem I have with this episode was how quickly and easy it was to get Archer out of Rura Pentha, it should have been a two parter.

  7. I voted 4 episodes a week, but it really varies for me,sometimes I watch more depending on whats happening like if TNN does another TNG marithon then I'll watch about 5 or 6 episodes in a row.Late night I get to see DS9,but if I have to get up early the next day I'll tape it and watch it the next day.

Of course every week I will watch Enterprise and once in a while I'm able to catch a Voyager episode which also comes on late night.

  8. I'm in the minority here I guess, although I liked "Deep Impact" very much I voted for "Armageddon". I own both of these videos and watch them every now and then. I think the reason I like "Armagaddon" so much is I found the humor to be very funny and also I will admit I cried a bit when the little boy was watching the TV and he pointed to one of the astronaughts and says "Mommy, its that salesman" and the mother see's its her ex-husband and hugs the child saying "No thats your daddy" (I may have been paraphrasing here, but you get the gest)

All in all they are both films that I would recommend to anyone.
