  1. I love the Archer/Trip friendship and wish they would show more of it; they've barely shared screen time this season. I voted for Trip/Reed because they by nature of their ranks can do more together like invade the computer in "Dead Stop" that Archer just couldn't do. :wow:

On the other hand I don't understand the desire to see Trip/Hoshi together. I think Trip is great B) but I just have this bias about whiny women and I want to see him with someone stronger - more his equal.

  2. I don't really want any of these characters having a relationship. Out of the options presented I picked Mayweather and Hoshi because it seems the most realistic. I thought it interesting Archer/T'Pol got zero votes.

Anyway, I think Trip is a doll but Hoshi would be a downer to his enthusiastic nature; and T'Pol is a Vulcan and Trip is so very human - it just wouldn't give either what they needed. I think it would be passionate but not sweet.

Archer is too busy being captain to have a long lasting relationship. But maybe a recurring guest - like the role of Kassidy in DS9.

Malcolm, I like him but sometimes I see a little of the lounge lizard mentality in his attitude towards women. What he needs is to meet a female security officer from a visiting vessel who is more by the book than he is. He'd be smitten.

  3. Trip, Archer and Malcolm are my favorites. I think Trip because he is the most upbeat character. Underneath his humor is an excellent, competent officer. I love the accent.

I like Archer so much better when is isn't whining - oh, and he is gorgeous. Malcolm is so uptight he's funny but he grows on you.

  4. This is my first post here; so I'm still getting used to the format....

I liked this episode - but it did raise some questions for me. First the fact that Trip left his body while the wisp took over implies that humans are dual natured; ie we're both a body and a wisp. I wonder if they wanted to imply that. In other types of takeovers the "person" is just buried somewhere inside.

Second I don't follow that being an energy form necessarily means you can transcend space and time like Trip's wisp did. If they can do that why did they need a ship?

But I liked seeing more of the crew having actual parts.
