If I remember correctly, I was google-ing something to do with Star Trek. One of the results linked to here, and I took a look. The concept of the message board was new to me (before I joined here, the last time I had regular internet access was back in '98 or so, and back then it was all about AOL chat rooms), and it seemed cool, so I joined up.

Interesting fact... not only is STF the first message board I joined, I found STF before I found the ST.com boards.

I've used Firefox a couple of times, I've also noticed that the Skin here is a bit out of wack with Firefox. Hopefully when I install the upgrades soon all of that will be fixed.

It's not that bad. There's, like, one image that's part of the skin itself that's off to the side. That's about it. And everything in posts is centered. Personally, I think it looks better that way.

I can't think of anything that really got under my skin, but I always think about how they talked like Sisko's dad was dead in the early seasons of DS9. Then all of a sudden he shows up alive and well in the later seasons.

And it turns out that Sisko's dad is Admiral Cartwright!

I thought they evacuated Earth using ships that are only capable of impulse, and then developed warp drive later on, when they were already in space.
