  1. I'm pretty easy going guy, but I do know this one person I just met in film school that is getting on my freakin nerves.

He likes to talk about himself A LOT, and seems to always want to dominate conversations, he also mooches off of me some times and expects to be catered too just because he use to be a blasted missionary. He tries to be funny, but no one understands his humor but himself (b/c it's not funny.) In fact, he laughs at himself all the time...really loud...and no one really knows why. Also his knowledge of film is limited at best since....

....ok I'm getting off the subject here....

    Something nice, something nice....

    ...something nice....well....something nice....ok....

...ok some times he the occasional residue of helpful information. He once gave me a phone number that gave me some networking opportunities for when I get out of school.

There I said it. I'm going to shower now.

  2. I have both V and VI. Looking at V, you really wish they could have improved the model mattes. They have an irregular glow to them. Also the extras aren't that great. They did show the rock monster scenes and a couple of interesting cut scenes.

Now VI is superb. There's a tribute to Deforest Kelly that's moving and informative. I'm going to try and find some of the old films he was in because he seems like such a remarkable actor.

Also the transfer and sound quaility is awsome. It's the best dvd so far in terms of the picture and surround sound. They also have a lot of interesting facts included on the extras too. I never knew there were so many historical and political homages throughout the entire movie.

  3. Remember a long time ago where we discussed if we could name an actor or actress who has been on both Star Wars and Star Trek franchises?

    ...

    ...

    No?

Ok to make a long story short, I don't think any of us could think of one. UNTIL NOW!

Remember those two Ewok TV Movies? In "The Ewok Adventure (1984)" a person named Fionna Flanagan played a character named Catarine Towani, she was the mother of the family who was marooned on Endor (swear to God I wouldn't remember this if I weren't a child of the eighties.)

Anyway, she was in Enterprise as the Vulcan Ambassador V'Lar in the episode "Fallen Hero."

I've been researching this thing for months, now I can die a happy man. :cloud9:

  4. I remember using the mircomachine sets to improve game play with the customizable card game (1st edition.) Seeing at table level, you had a better simulation of controlling ships and doing missions. LAter they were a great way to experiment with blue screens on digital editors.

  5. Awesome fan-film! A lot of hard work went into putting that film together. I don't mean to criticize, but was there a boom mic shadow in the transporter scene?

I hope they do a crossover ep with the Exeter crew. Although it's happened a lot in the past, the only time we see Star Trek crossover is in books nowadays.

  6. If I'd have the opportunity, I'd get my best Stuart Smalley face and give them a big hug (especially Linda Park...but that's for other reasons.) And I'm not being facetious, I really think they do some hard work. Unfortunetly, some critics raise a higher bar for them and do say things that might really hurt their feelings.
