Again, i picked pike. Why him? Because he could be a really good character (i haven't had the money to go and get the "pike adventures" comics (yeah i know what they're really called, it's just not willing to come out of the vault right now
). -
Umm, actually i think most star trek viewers are conservative or moderate. At least, that's what was shown in the facts last time. And as Air America goes, they are, well, let me just say that they resorted to suing a radio station. One they owed money to, in order to stay on the air.

I went with the sovereign, although i might've picked the prometheus if it was up there. I went with sovereign cause i remember reading somewhere that (unofficially) scotty helped design the ship, that makes for a BIG plus in my opinion
. That would also explain it's resemblance, to a degree, to the constitution class. -
Jim's right, in fact, that's how all the space stations to date have been built, they make the required module on the ground and then launch it up to space where it's attached. But if the ship was of the right design and size, we could build the whole thing on the planet and then send it off (like if it's designed like a blended-wing body, only with a steeper angle of the wing, and only with 1 or 2 decks).

I know this was mainly designed for collecting deuterium in space, but why not use some sort of bussard collector? It's designed to use electromagnetism to bring stuff into a container, but it wasn't exactly designed for that.

Ed's right, i'd go with fusion. But a photon bomb would be better.
-
I think replicators are better, but really you wouldn't need anything that advanced. A protein resequencer would probably do the job (just make the basic components and then combine them in the kitchen).

Is it possible? I think so, but i think the acurate question should be, Is it feasible? We'd either have to get all the parts from all current accelerators (electronics, magnets, etc) or we'd have to build several more of them, and seeing as how energy intensive they are, i'd say right now doing so would be beyond feasible, unless you want to can the medical, educational, and combative departments.
-
Umm, wouldn't we have to have a fusion reactor before we can have the rocket?
I think you might've forgotten that little part

I think the next "revolution" in transportation will be quantum slipstream, but not after the federation takes another crack at "fixing" the currently used warp scale et cetera. Which could hold back slipstream travel for, oh, till at least the mid-25th century.

I don't think there is a particle which creates time, but one that merely takes advantage of it. It's more likely to me that time is a result of the energy/mass of the universe interacting in the way it does.

I think season 4, it's halfways through the series and a good place to put it if you want lots of people to remember. Plus, he's had plenty of time to prove himself and hasn't grown too much. Besides, it's not like he'd be a full lt yet, he'd still have to work to get that rank

Well, i'm not sure, it depends on the definition really. I guess (with lack of a definition) i would be, in a way. I am more open to possibilities, but i also still believe in Christ (more in the "i just recognize Christ and God then anything else" kinda way). Having heard about several possible books that were left out for what (to me) seem to be political reasons of the time, i just stick to these 2 points and if there's anything truthful i'll let God himself tell me.

I think so, some people have been angels, at least at the time. But seeing as how many demon stories there are (i'm talking the noncorporeal type beings now), there have to be angels.

My parents iritate me quite a bit at times, in fact recently i threatened to kill myself because i was just getting sick and tired of the same old crap (didn't even come close, btw). But if it's bothering you to the point you're thinking that same way, get out as soon as you can.

Wrath of kahn, of course
. It set the standard for first contact after all, besides, what other movie has had a vulcan asking this?: "A lie?" "An exageration, lt." :) -
I don't know what paramount's thoughts are regarding merchandise, but on starbase34.com the owner had a letter, from paramount, stating they had a problem with websites that had "licensed trek media." That could mean anything made by paramount of course, but i think some things like tv episodes, music, etc that's been on tv is pretty much fair game, and i'm not talking about movies, although some things on it could fit into this. Btw, the owner of the site had to close it down for budget reasons. Is a bummer cause his site was one of the better ones

Now that i think of it, why didn't i think of this earlier??
I mean, the dots were there and i just didn't see them, has this just been realized by anyone else? :) -
Haven't, and hope i never do, but if it happens in the future i hope i at least have a stun batton (with variable charge selection, i don't want to have all the different versions) with me to make sure the person isn't able to do anything. And maybe having some karate skills could help also

The way i see it, the jenolen, as well as many other vessels of that era, had a certain refresh rate for the shields, and scotty with the knowledge of that refresh rate was able to time the transport just right. And since the transporters of the
Ent-D are a fair amount more advanced they were probably capable of fitting with-in that refresh rate.

I'd like to have pizza more often, but the right type. If it's made properly it could practically fill your personal food pyramid  .

I picked 'Mostly Carnivore'. The way i see it is, i'd rather an animal die fairly quick and end up on my plate then see a news story about them dying miserably and painfully due to over-breeding, not enough shelter or the misc other things which are much worse ways for them to die, not to mention in these senarios the meat just goes to waste. Btw, there are creatures that are dying from disease because of over-population, just so you know.

Used to hunt, but that seems like just a dream now.

Tina, i've been thinking, shouldn't there be more kosher in the market? I've heard it at least is definitively known to be made entirely of meat, unlike some hotdogs etc.
