  1. If you want to call it a diet, I did cut back on the amount of foods I was eating and I started exercising on a regular basis. I went from 185 lbs down to 155lbs which is an ok size for me because I'm 5'10" and I've managed to stay at that weight for the past 2 years now.

  2. LOL!! That's just another one of those ridiculous things. If it doesn't kill you then it must make you lose brain cells. There are so many things out there that are healthy for you one day and the next it's not. You stop eating it and it's suddenly good for you again. Sometimes I just wish they would make up their minds. If all this were true then according to the scientists we should all be dead by now.

    :)

  3. Ok, I'll try to give this a shot.

Chekov: He maintains the weapons and monitors for ships in the area

Spock is up to the right of Chekov on the upper deck. His station is the Science Station. He has a viewer there (somone else may know the more technical term) for scanning things outside the ship. He can also tell what kind of planets the Enterprise is coming up to and if they are livealbe, what their atmosphere and general make up are through the viewer.

Uhura is to the right of Spock on the upper deck. She is the communications officer. She monitors all communication systems througout the ship and to and from other ships, planets, and Starfleet.

That brings you to Kirk who is in the middle of the Bridge and he's the Captain of the ship, making all of the final decisions.

To Chekov's left is Sulu and he is the helmsman, which means he basically controls the ships movements and drives it.

I'm not sure how helpful that was, but I hope it explains things a little better.

  4. i really liked this old TOS book called "How Much For Just The Planet" - Kirk and a Klingon diplomacy it out for this world's choice - Federation or Empire - the book was entirely written as a comedy, with some hilarious characters created for laughs - definitely recommended

This guy at work was telling me about that book and he said if he remembere he would bring it to me so I could read it.

  5. I considered both Foundation and Flowers for Algernon for my list - but I went for more non-fiction

I you're looking for non-fiction then October Sky by Homer Hickum and Night by Eli Wiesel are really good books.

Of course October Sky was made into a movie and there is another that he wrote called the Coalwood Way which is as equally interesting.

  6. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wow: That's fascinating. Extremely cool. I wonder how long it took that person to decorate it like that. Incredible. :dude:
