    Ok I personaly did NOT find it very funny when Dr. Crusher was pushed in the water...  Worf dropping into the water that was funny..  Of course my whole family thought it was funny when she fell in but I didn't...  I mean come on he PUSHED her..  Ok I am done rammbling..

     

    umm I like any thing that Dr. Crusher said and the scene in FC with Deanna drunk was good...  lets see what else...  I liked that line from NEM,  "All things considered Data I think you have nicer eyes."

    Oh dear. Monty Python literally has me rolling on the floor. I love them! I have Meaning of Life on VHS and Holy Grail on both. I've seen Life of Brian, but haven't got it...yet (Life's a piece of *poopie*, when you look at it), and I haven't seen Hollywood Bowl. I've seen most of the sketches, though, and I have some of them on tape and record. I even downloaded the Parrot Sketch on Kazaa (He's rung down the curtain and joined the bloody choir invisible...this is an EX-PARROT! lol"laugh:laugh: pure comic genius)

    I can't stand Shades of Grey and Violations. Other than that, I can deal with them (but those are two I wouldn't watch unless you paid me :laugh:)

     

    What was wrong with Devil's Due, Pen Pals, Tin Man and Skin of Evil? Those are some of my 2nd/3rd favourites :laugh: (And I'm serious when I say not because of Data. Just curious as to why you dont like them)

    Anyways, to answer the question, I think the only possible reason is discrmination. EVERY SINGLE person (with the exception of Tasha who left before the first season was up, for goodness sakes) got promoted before him! Even "ensign" Ro, who wasn't even a regular character! Aside from what you've already said that he was a stellar member of hte crew, was not any easier to be taken over than any one else, and had proved himslef worthy on numerous occasions (worthy of CAPTAIN!! Which is not one but two ranks higher than what he was! Which proves how ready he was to move on to 1st officer), and the fact that I would feel very comfortable with someone like Data in the captain's chair (aside from the fact that he's Data and everything else said so far B), it would also be very useful to have someone with his abilities and ability to gain more abilities and who is so kind, gentle and good-looking :laugh: dealing with the things a captain would have to deal with, NOT TO MENTION the fact that half the time an alien took over the ship, he was the ONLY ONE it didn't affect and HE had to save the crew!!)

     

    I don't think it was his fault he wasn't promoted. For example, in Redemption (I think it was) he was a little put off that he wasn't given temporary captaincy (or whatever it's called) of a ship. I think he DID want to be captain, although, like Riker, he might not have WANTED to leave the Enterprise. My problem is that he was never even offered!! :laugh: grrr

    THE NAKED NOW!!!!!

    OMG DEANNA/WILL DATA?TASHA... my god... those were howlz

    I can't believe I left out The Naked Now. I always howl with that episode.

    Well it is funny until a certain scene that irks at least THIS Soong Sister....Maybe I am going a little overboard when I say I would just loved to slap the crap out of Tasha for what she said!!

    That sounds sarcastic, but thats not how I meant it. I agrree!!

     

    Most Touching? I think I'd have to say Offspring. or possibly the end of Nemesis, if we're talking about crying. And I think the end of Tin Man and the middle of Thine own Self, where Data talks (in a way) about what the Enterprise means to him. And Pen Pals and Darmok were also pretty good in that category. But for an entire episode, I think I'll stick with Offspring.

     

    Funniest? Definately Q episodes. They never fail to make me howl! Deja Q, I think, is what I'd call the funniest. I think...

    LOL! :laugh: I keep on seeing the exact same half of Spocks Brain, but I've never seen the whole thing. I have to admit what I saw kind of sucked, though...

    I agree, they'll never join the Federation just like the Klingons never joined the Federation.

     

    It'd have been like the USSR joining NATO.

    I think it will end up being something like the kligongs....good ones and bad ones.

     

    I like them evil too, though, lol!!
