  1. I voted for #6 but you didn't include two of my favourite (darn only having 10 options in polls).

As I work at a law firm #8 "small print leads to large risk" is very true. I like Rule #13 "Anything worth doing is worth doing for money".

DSBS, there is a book called the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition by Quark as told to Ira Steve Behr.  I got my at Amazon.ca  Here's a link:

Wow, there's a lot of ST stuff I need to get

  2. Hmm lets see, our motto... Trek goes better with Coke ? Oh sorry, off topic.

ya, to the mentos theme song tune - "Trek goes better with coca cola fu-ull of life. *sips from can* ah!"

  3. I haven't read too many st books (what? me not reading? its very unusual, I know), but I really liked Pathways (I liked Mozaic until the end. I really didn't like the end), and Immortal Coil.

Any luck finding Metamorphosis, yet?? It is such a great book.

nope, not yet. It's driving me crazy here!

  4. ok, NOW YOU'VE DONE IT!!! He wasn't even going to be a commander??? WHAT IS THIIS??? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? If there isn't another movie to bring him back I'm going to go dynamite the paramount people's houses as put skunks on their pillows and let loose a barrel full of locusts on them! If I must I will go so far as to fart in their general direction! THESE PEOPLE ARE ALL INSANE! ARGHghglsdgsuhpisuhf[ash9t=0aeur -yw7 5eyt .

    ok...breathing is good.

  5. I have autographed pics of Dr.McCoy (De Forest Kelly), Dr.Pulaski (Diane Muldaur),Capt.Picard (Patrick Stewart), Scotty (James Doohan),Mr.Sulu (George Takei), Tuvok (Tim Russ), Trelane (William Campbell), Quark (Armin Shimerman) and Mr.Chekov (Walter Koenig). The pics are framed and hung in a way to frame my bookcase which is entirly filled with Star Trek books. My walls are adorned with movie posters from most of the films and I have the models of all the Starships and DS9 sitting around on just about every flat surface in my house.

You lucky lucky lucky licky guy!!!!!!!

All my friends/non-friends know I like trek, and they don't care (some of them like it with me). I don't havve too much stuff in my room b/c I don't want to give my parents and brother ammo (I mean, they know I like...certain people, but they have NO PRROF! If I EVER put a Data pic on my wall I would stare at it so blatantly there would no longer be any doubt. Also, as I'm pretty new to trekdom and on a tight budget, I don't have much merchandice - as in nothing except the DVDs and a few thumb-nail pics printed from the internet...)

  6. I really wanted to name my daughter Belanna but when I suggested it to my husband he looked at me like I'd suddenly grown a second head or something. So that was out of the question. smilies6.gif

    ROFL!!

JLP, I don't think it REALLY matters what you call your girlfriend/boyfriend/hubby/partner. I mean honestly, who cares? What difference does it ACTUALLY make?

  7. I loved the stellar cartography scene. The scene in Peak Performance kind of reminded me of it (and guess who was worried about him? Good ol' Dr. Pulanski the Data-hater. haha, ya right!)

  8. That's true...all they would have had to do was say "hey look, Troi's at yet another phycology convention" and we would have let it go!

But if she was there, she wouldn't have been that useful anyways..."Captain, I sense hostility on this ship. Comminging from...someone...on this ship!"

  9. Well, as Generations was one of the first ST things I ever saw (when I still hated, or was just beginning not to hate to show), so my expectations were, if anything, for it to be "crappy and nowhere near as good as Star Wars" - which doesn't seem THAT great to me anymore, now...but anyways - so I really quite liked the movie although I must say I was a little scared of Data (not LITERALLY...and besides, I had already seen him in those other eps I mentioned), but I didn't even know who Kirk WAS, so...I have to say I quite liked it. Maybe not the best Trek film, but certainly not the worst.

  10. I think it will end up being something like the kligongs....good ones and bad ones.

I like them evil too, though, lol!!

    DSBS I love your typos.

I'm wondering what everyone thinks will happen to the Federation/Klingon alliance if the Federation allies itself with the Romulans. The Klingons and Romulans are blood enemies. Do you think the Klingons and Romulans would become allies or would the Klingons end the alliance with the Federation?

oh dear....kligongs... I need to start reading my posts before I post them...
