Exactly. We couldn't even get there by ourselves....I once had to write an essay on why progress is an illusion, and that was one of the examples I used.

I have 1, 5, qnd 6 of TNG (aabout to get 2), but I'm hoping for all of them, eventually. I can't wait for VOY DVDs, and I AM planning on getting DS9 (I'm not hoocked on it yet, but I can feel it starting, if you know what I mean). But TNG first! (do they have DVDs of the original?)

I haven't read too many st books (what? me not reading? its very unusual, I know), but I really liked Pathways (I liked Mozaic until the end. I really didn't like the end), and Immortal Coil.

I have to be honest...If I inherited it right now, I would start off by trying to help the world, but I would then realize that no matter what I did, the idiot people of Earth would continue to screw things up no matter what I did. I would then indulge myself with everything that Earth has to offer, then, I would move on.

Well, I don't have any st clothes. but, and I hate to admit it , I'm dying for a uniform (red, yellow, blue, I don't care! I want one! (and not one of those later ones. A TNG season 3-7 one! (and has anyone noticed that the only uniform colours are the primary colours?)))

I used to love reading rainbow (always the book worm) but I can hardly remember ANYTHING except a cartoon rainbow appearing on the background...

Well, on the fun and mischieveous side, one of the first things I would do is make sure the Yankees never have another winning season, at least until Steinbrenner dumps his ownership.  On the serious side, I'm not really sure what I would do.  My own prime directive philosophy might cause me to not do anything and let everything take it's natural course.  I probably would travel the galaxy and observe but I don't think I would blatently use the power like three wishes from a genie.  I do believe in that old saying that "Power corrupts and absolutel power corrupts absolutely."  Being only human, this would be too much of a threat to myself and those around me.

Just like in Hide and Q....I don;t think I'd want myself to have the power of Q. I'm only human after all (yes...human...). But as this is purely hypothetical, why not have some fun?

YOu have to pay really really REALLY close attention, and repeat what he just said in your head. A lot of words sound like contractions, but they're not, and vise-versa, so it's a little difficult to hear sometimes. Other times you just happen to be listening in the right spot.

That's a really good point...I suppose we can get used to ALMOST anything...
