You're dream movie

Recommended Posts

If you were in charge of making the big decsions what kind of plot, cast and actors would you use in the next Star Trek film? Anything goes? Attack of the conspiracy aliens, the return of the "Think Tank" maybe even the invasion of the Space Hippies from "Way to Eden"...use your imagination. To make it even more fun write a small teaser. Like I said anything goes.

Here's mine...

In the 24th century...

An elderly retired Admiral John Harriman wakes up from a nightmare of the night Capt James T Kirk was killed aboard the USS Enterprise-B. All through his life he has been remembered as one of the legendary Captains of a vessel to bear the name Enterprise, but he can't shake the fact that on his tour of duty one of the most famous men in starfleet history was killed on a vessel under his command. Later he hears rumors of Capt Kirk last being seen on veridian III. He tries to gain passage to visit the planet, but for some reason it is under quaritine and no vessel is allowed to visit the planet under any circumstance. Basically the rest of the story is Harriman and a bunch of other crew members (could be regular cast or could be made up) trying to find out what the mystery of Capt Kirk and Veridian III is all about.) Maybe even have Harriman and his ragtag bunch steal another starfleet vessel to reach veridian III to find out the truth (ala Star Trek III.) But that's my little fantasy, always wanted to see more of John Harriman and of course always interested in the return of Kirk.

a nemesis sequel. enemies: romulans

cast: completely tng

other than that i just want ONE LAST TNG FLICK. i feel as though i was left hanging.

like Brent Spiner says on the nemesis dvd, there is a perfectly good sequel right at the end of nemesis when b4 sings.

Well, I have 2 dream movies for #11. One's DS9, the other's VOY.

Star Trek XI: Resurrection

This would follow the DS9 series, featurring the return of Sisko, a new threat from the Gamma Quadrant, along with the liberration of the Pah-Wraiths! I think this would make for an excellent story. Sisko returns as part of the plot, we could say O'Brien didn't like teaching so returned to DS9, Odo could return becuase of the GQ threat, and finally, Worf just "happens" to be there like he just "happened" to be on the Enterprise in Insurrection!

Star Trek XI: Invasion

This would follow the VOY series, featuring the aliens seen in TNG "Conspiracy". Finally, the aliens have recieved their becon and have begun a 2nd invasion of the Federation, this time, much more extensive. Picard could return one last time as an Admiral himself, informing Janeway all he knew about the original invasion. We could have Dr. Crusher join the VOY cast in a small role since she knew more about the creatures than anyone, and becuase her Nemesis was too little!

Anywho, to sum up, my two dream movies are:

1. DS9 movie about Sisko's return

2. VOY movie about the "conspiracy" aliens.

My dream movie would be a TNG follow up to Nemesis as envisioned by John Logan. He did a fantastic job on the Nemesis script and I would love to see what he had in mind.

Here's another one...

Star Trek: Past, Present, Future

This has to do with one of Berman and Bragna's original ideas on Generation. I guess one of the story ideas they had was a adventure that literally spanned the generations (from tos to tng.) Here I think they could do one with the Past: Enterprise and/or Tos , Present: TNG, Voy, Ds9 or mix, and then the Future which would be some new characters. Basically we see the movie in 3 different times and it movies like this through out the entire film. In the end we might have a small but action packed cross over that makes sense of the entire story. It's kind of like AGT but spans a larger scope of time and with more characters. If anyone read Star Trek Federation, it would work something like that. Everytime some one does something in the past, it would effect the other two time lines. And to make the story more impactful maybe make it a HBO mini series (ala band of brothers) so they have enough time to tell the entire story.

i'll read it later, but if you looked at all my posts here, then you would get an idea of my ideas for a future trek sries or/and movie. :saintdevil: (bowing to the "yellow-eyed" god, which is what i call him in my past dreams poems. you wouldn't want to read them. they are too $exy)

A mixed cast crew representing every series in the franchise get together in one ship (probably Enterprise-E since it is so big),travel back in time to the early 21st-century and storm a convention where they procede to beat the crap out of the whining, complaining fans. :saintdevil:

How about a film set aboard Stargazer, starring a young Jean-Luc Picard?Which of today's hot young actors would be cast to play the living legend?Maybe the film could have something to do with the Khitomer Massacre and/or the Enterprise-C's valiant last stand against the Romulans?

Fans of Martok would hate this idea...

but I've always liked Klingons best as bad guys. Now that the Romulans are more or less practicing the "Good Neighbor" policy with the Federation,I would love to see Martok deposed by a new Klingon Emperor who hates the Federation,Hates the Romulans, and who wants to lead the Empire into a glorious new era of conquest.

This new Klingon leader can't be your typical Trek villain. He should be smart, cunning, charismatic, and tactically brilliant.A match for even Jean-Luc Picard on his best day.He also shouldn't be totally evil, simply very Klingon in his thinking.

And at the end of the movie he can't be truly defeated or killed, simply checked for the moment (to pave the way for further development of this new direction for the Klingons).

Maybe he could conquor the Romulans (as in Q's anti-time future),and the Federation tries to aide the Romulans. We could even have Spock appear.Maybe even Kirk and Scotty.(I know it isn't canon, but Kirk survived his "death" in Generations in the novels...though,not in the book ST:Generations).

Just an idea...

If it were up to me, the Romulans would completely conquer the Federation and the Klingons, but then that would totally ruin what Star Trek is all about (Federation-biased, little...). In other words, exactly what Tal Shiar 8472 said. Also maybe something starring all my favorite characters, though they would have to be separate movies since have these people hate each other or live at different times- Spock, Valeris, Wesley Crusher, Julian Bashir, Mackenzie Calhoun...

There seems to be two threads like this so I'll post this here as well.

This is my idea.

I don't know what it could be called, but just bear with me and please read this.

The Enterprise E (including Worf who has joined the ship as first officer and B4 who is now as advanced as Data) and the Titan (with Riker and Troi) are at DS9 near Bajor, which has now become part of the Federation. Kira is there and has now become leader of Bajor. For cameo value, Bashir and Odo also appear. Odo is now married to Kira (I added that to please the fanboys)

Chief O'Brien is now Chief Engineer on the Titan and new or previously known characters may also make up some of the crew on the Enterprise and Titan (such as Nog on the Titan as CONN officer?)

The Titan and the Enterprise go through the wormhole (which now looks even more spectacular) and are in a part of previously unknown space negotiating with a new technologically advanced race for cooperation with the Federation (similar to a treaty signed with the Dominion). This race were so powerful, they were able to resist the Dominion for centuries fighting them into a stalemate.

Meanwhile, a Federation Science Team is exploring a planet on an archeological mission and they uncover the Guardian Of Forever, which has been buried for many many years. The mission is interrupted, the science team killed and their ship destroyed when an alien race (a new race never seen in Trek before) attack and use the Guardian to go back in time to Earth in the past. All that remains of the science team is a buoy which explains what has happened. The aliens who use the Guardian are the same ones who were negotiating with the Enterprise and Titan at the beginning of the movie. They were only distracting the two most powerful Starfleet ships while they carried out their plans.

Just before the aliens use the Guardian of Forever. They attack the wormhole and collapse it. Picard must communicate with Sisko to open it up again. Sisko who is now a prophet tells Picard that he must succeed in his task and bring the galaxy into peace.

The Enterprise and the Titan were protected from the timechanges because of the wormhole.

At the same time, the timeline is corrupted and the Federation immediately changes. It becomes hostile and aggressive and evil. The entire Starfleet becomes warlike and cruel and the mission of the Federation is now hostile and one of conquest.

When the Enterprise and the Titan leave the area of space they were in, they find that everything has changed. After reentering the wormhole, they find that Bajor is now a huge asteroid field and are attacked by a fleet of warships. They reach Earth and find that the entire planet is now the centre of a huge Empire ruled by aggressive humans and the new alien race that used the Guardian. The new Empire bears a striking similarity to Nazi Germany. Klingons, Romulans, etc are now in concentration camps across the Alpha Quadrant with their empires in ruins.

The Enterprise and Titan go back to the Guardians planet after detecting the buoy on a top secret frequency. Since the scientific team were specialists with temporal phenonomen, the buoy continuously phases in the spacetime continuum and cannot be altered by changes in the timeline. The Enterprise and the Titan discover what has happened and use the Guardian to follow the hostile aliens back in time. The Guardian expands to a huge size and the Enterprise and Titan go through it back to World War II.

When they get there, they find that these aliens plan to use their technology to affect Earth's timeline in order to control Federation space in the future. They plan to help the Axis Powers to win WWII. They use their ships and weaponry to launch a massive attack on Pearl Harbour, and plan to help the Nazi's defeat the Allies and finally to drop an Atomic Bomb on London and Washington DC.

The Starfleet officers of the Enterprise and the Titan must help the Allies to defeat the aliens and the Axis and restore the timeline. They eventually succeed after many huge battles using WWII and 24th Century technology including a battle between Titan fighters and Spitfires against Nazi and Japanese planes with Alien fighters in huge dogfights over Europe and a Titan/Allied landing at Normandy.

Meanwhile the Enterprise must assist the Royal and US Navy in a huge sea battles against the Axis and the Aliens. Bismarck with phasers?

(***seperating the two ships will allow the main characters plenty of screentime***)

While in the 20th Century, the Starfleet officers meet the grandfather of Zephram Cochrane, who is an atomic scientist working on weapons using theoretical propulsion systems (at that time, nuclear powered space rockets that will be used to establish a base on the Moon before the USSR gets there first). They don't give him warp technologies per se because they realise that humanity would use that technology for war at this point in their development, but they decide to give him some cryptic and inspirational advice to push him in the direction of warp drive. He comments that the type of technology needed to fly between the stars would take over a century to realise. He's right.

Eventually the timeline is restored and the two Starfleet ships go back to the 24th Century where the Aliens have escaped to using the Guardian Of Forever which also exists in the 20th Century. But the Enterprise crew send another temporal buoy through the Guardian informing Starfleet what has happened. When they reach the 24th Century, Starfleet Command has recieved the message and has mobilised a gigantic fleet of starships, along with the Cardassians, Klingons, Romulans etc to confront the hostile aliens who has assembled a fleet of their own. A huge space battle ensues at Bajor and the hostile aliens are defeated. Just for extra spice, we could see Janeway etc and the Voyager crew in command of their own ships involved in the battle? The Enterprise E is destroyed but the crew is saved and rescued by the Titan which itself is badly damaged.

After the battle, the major races of the Alpha Quadrant realise that the era of disunity must end and a new treaty is signed at DS9 (which has been massively refitted and is now essentially a huge floating city in space). A Super-Federation is established and peace is attained. The movie ends (in a nod to Star Trek IV) when the new Starship Enterprise is shown (NCC 1701-F, a new advanced class) in spacedock and it goes to warp.

The End.

Thankyou!!!!!

Perhaps distant ancestors of Kirk, Sulu, Scotty and the DS9, ENT, TNG and VOY crews could be seen also? Perhaps played by the same actors who portray the Trek characters?

While investigating Nazi activities in the Second World War, the Starfleet crews uncover secret plans that will eventually lead to the Eugenic experiments. This is a foreshadow of the Eugenic Wars that will see the creation of Khan Noonien Singh.

The movie could be bookended with appearances from Sisko who warns Picard at the start of the movie that great change and conflict is approaching and he must fulfill his own destiny by bringing peace to the galaxy. It could end with Sisko again appearing to Picard to tell him that his task has been complete.

A routine mission to a peaceful planet aboard the NX-Yorktown brings Captain Russell Morgan face to face with a mortal enemy. An ambush nearly cripples his systems and the ship only just makes it to the planet - Jasmina. There he meets with the Head of the planet's ruling council where his daughter, and also a member of the Royal family, takes his eye. A conspiracy, treachery, a love affair an evil race and fast moving fight scenes should all add up to a good film...

I would set this film a good 20 years after the events of Enterprise and would maybe allow one cameo, perhaps from T'Pol who wouldnt really age that much in Vulcan terms.

Possible Working Titles: Star Trek - Yorktown, Star Trek - Before and After, or Star Trek - ????

I would go with new characters that were originally from the early/mid-21st century. Something like this...

Before the Eugenics War, foreign nations begin creating their genetically-altered super soldiers. The US finds out about this and to defend agains them, they create cybernetically-altered soldiers. These soldiers have many aspects of the Borg, for instance, they work as a collective and they can assimilate technology. However, one (or several) soldiers, proto-types, manage to reject the collective and lead the soldiers away. Like Kahn did, they obtain a couple DY-500 class sleeper ships in order to leave Earth. Somewhere past the asteroid belt, they enter a temporal rift, which send one ship into the 25th century. There is no sign of the other ship.

Quickly, they find themselves in the middle of another war. Having escaped one war, they decide to stay out of this one. But they soon discover that this war is the least of their problems.

Coming across a damaged Borg cube, they learn that not only did the other sleeper ship survive, but it had been sent back in time over a thousand years. It's crew was the ancestors of the Borg. And their main program is not to assimilate all technology, but to assimilate everything they can until they conquer and destroy the place they feel they were cast out from... Earth.

Star Trek XI:

It's been a year since Voyager came home and everyone has been debriefed. All of a sudden word gets out that the Hirogen and Species 8472 are gonna attack. Since the crew of Voyager were the only ones to ever make contact with these species they lead the fleet. There's a major battle and Starfleet wins. Slowly, everything returns to normal.

That would be great.

Data’s consciousness begins to re-emerge and out grow the processor in B4. Geordi is working with B4 on a research centre attempting to extract the Data elements so that Data can live and that B4’s body is not taken over by the growing dominance of Data.

Meanwhile, the Enterprise commanded by a soon to retire Captain Picard is heading to pick Geordi up when they hear the discovery that the Data memory can be extracted but in order to do so Geordi will need to download Data into a starship computer.

After downloading Data we find that he has begun to grow and started taking over functions from the main computer as a result of this growth.

On the Klingon homeworld the Titan is meeting with Worf (now in a diplomatic position of power) in order to obtain stronger technological and political ties between them and the Federation, with the ultimate aim of a possible application into the Federation.

Back on Enterprise things seem to be getting worse. The engines are failing, all weapons are off line and computer command access is off line. Attempting to avoid a political disaster with the Enterprise drifting illegally into Klingon space, Picard orders the wiping of all downloaded Data information. Very soon Data begins discussing how he has out grown an android body and is making himself comfortable in his new one – the Enterprise itself! This slowly develops into megalomania and desire to exterminate all humans, which he now considered a form of cancer.

Taking the ship deeper into Klingon space and destroying a few ships on he way, the new Data begins creating holo-monsters to kill the crew, a sort of anti-body. The crew actively resist and several fire fights result as the Titan rushes to find out why the Enterprise and Picard have gone AWOL.

There we go that’s the start of the story, I'll leave the rest to the imagination. Btw, just for those Data fans out there, in the conclusion it is considered that the information that they thought was Data, was in fact nothing more than a degrogated copy, the plot drawing on such issues as morality behind cloning and discussing the concept of consciousness and being versus memory and experience.

Something With a Epic Larger than life Quality that Recent Trek Films seem to be lacking. If the Setting is going to be on this Alien world we needed to beleive in it. The rest seems to fall in place. Whether a story would take place in the Eugenics Wars , Romulon Wars. A plague that would threaten the galaxy. Or something in that order I need to beleive in that world. Somethiing Set in the years Between the Next Gen and the TOS would be intresting.

This may be my morning coffee talking, but I'd like a DS9 musical.

Sisko could come back, of course. And there could be some spacial anomoly or something that gives everyone an overwhelming urge to sing and dance.

Then the Romulans would take over DS9, and sing and dance. Then everyone would get really drunk on Romulan ale.

That's a cool idea. It kind of build on a few idea's that I've had. Sinse I saw Nemisis, I've had the idea of Data's personality emerging in B4, but Data taking over the Enterprise, I would have never thought of anything like that. And the thing about the Klingon's joining the Federation has been in my mind ever since Azati Prime.

Cheers. Basically I want to see another TNG film that really kicks *buttocks* with some internal (inside the ship) and external battles and most importantly it must have some sort of philosophical meaning, otherwise it wouldn't be Star Trek. I also think the idea of having the ship itself as the main villain is an interesting idea that did well for 2001.

Yeah, you're right about that.

Now this is what I would like to see:

I would just "love" it if they made a movie out of the books A Time to be Born and A Time to Die. I loved those two books! And Wesley coming back and helping them out because he was a Traveler was sooo cool!

Anyway, That's the extent of my ideas. notmuch
