Yillara Skye 1 Posted February 16, 2005 My home computer is my first brand new computer. All my previous were pretty much built here from spare parts. Either by me or my brother. But mine is: Compaq Presario KDS monitor GE external speakers, mouse and keyboard Logitech headphones/microphone and my laptop is a old Sony Vaio that I bought at a used computer store. I use that when I am away on trips

A l t e r E g o 9 Posted February 17, 2005 A fellow named Mike N made mine with off the shelf parts at a cost of $500 parts and labor. Not sure which Makes they are though; all I require is that they work.

ddillard 2 Posted February 17, 2005 I build all of my own computers. 303768[/snapback] Same here. I find it much cheaper that way I just upgrade one part at a time when the need arises and I have the money, I find it much better than trying to buy a new one from scratch. That and I can build a complete tower for about $500 that would cost about $2000 to buy from one of the major computer companies.
