You're Stranded on a Deserted Asteroid...

Recommended Posts

This was something done by the writers at Star Trek.com. Here's the premise:

The idea is a simple one: You are stranded on a deserted asteroid, with enough life support to sustain yourself and enough electricity to power your portable progressive-scan DVD player with Dolby 5.1 Surround sound with a 60" LCD screen. The task is to pick a special DVD compilation of your top three installments from each of the five Star Trek series, and one movie.

I'm suprised no one brought this idea over here yet, I know we've done things like this before but I don't recall doing it spanning all 5 series.

As an aside, I believe two-parters count as one ep but three part arcs don't.

Here goes:

TOS (somewhat limited as I've only seen a handful):

-Balance of Terror

-Doomsday Machine

-The Trouble With Tribbles

TNG

-Cause and Effect

-The Best of Both Worlds (both parts)

-Yesterday's Enterprise

DS9

-Sacrifice of Angels

-Trials and Tribble-ations

-Tears of the Prophets

VGR

-Equinox (both parts)

-Year of Hell (both parts)

-Timeless

ENT

-Twilight

-Shuttlepod 1

-Cold Station 12

Movie

-Star Trek: First Contact

Who's next?

For TOS, I'd go with...

The City on the Edge of Forever

Balance of Terror

Mirror, Mirror

For TNG...

Yesterday's Enterprise

Cause and Effect

The Inner Light

For both DS9 and VOY...

I haven't been able to see all episodes, so I'd have them chosen randomly.

For ENT...

The Augment Trilogy (Borderland, Cold Station 12, and The Augments)

Movie...

First Contact

It is difficult to pick three, I had a really hard time choosing just three for TNG and DS9, both series have dozens of great episodes.

I would prefer to just grab all my TNG DVDs.

TOS - Trouble With Tribbles

DS9 and Voy - I'll have to think on those two.

TNG - (just three?!?!? Erm.gif) - Brothers, All Good Things, Chain of Command

ENT - (surprise, surprise Whistle.gif) - Borderland, Cold Station 12 and The Augments

Movie (just one?!?!? Erm.gif) - Nemesis...no First Contact...no, I'm not sure.

hmm, tough one..

TOS - Cannot easily decide, though I know Troubles With Tribbles would be one.

TNG- ACKKK!!! Only three, hmmmm. Offspring, Brothers, and Power Play

DS9 and VOY- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can I substitute six more TNG episodes because I do not watch VOY or DS9????? And if I can, then six more eps concerning Data and/or his family

ENT- :P The Soong story arc (what else?? Besides, I only got to see part of one of the episodes because I just happened to not be able to sleep that night and got to catch when they broadcasted UPN's programming after FOX's prime time. So I would finally get to finish it)

Movie- Hands down, gotta be First Contact! :P :)
