Was one too on this Ambassador-, NX-, and Miranda-class ships. And the Mannheim Temporal Research Facility.

 

Called myself the ship's “Temporal Mechanics Specialist”, and my “selves” emanated from a dying network of timelines... Bit of a long but interesting backstory that I never got to play out since my COs disliked time-travel, 'cept for Captain Arwen of the NX-19.

Even played as a disembodied brain in a jar once, and got the rank of commander.

From what I've heard, aye. As I recall, in the film “Trekkies”, they featured a man who surgically alterred his ears to the Vulcan-status.

He also wears his uniform grocery shopping.
