I'm the lai, with no sort

Of grave, solemn thought,

And I

Will never be caught

By miseries sought,

Nor sigh;

Where battles are fought

Or arguments brought,

I fly.

(If you were not a Lai you would be Ottava Rima.)

This was the one I ended up with and its alternate..

I'm terza rima, and I talk and smile.

Where others lock their rhymes and thoughts away

I let mine out, and chatter all the while.

I'm rarely on my own - a wasted day

Is any day that's spent without a friend,

With nothing much to do or hear or say.

I like to be with people, and depend

On company for being entertained;

Which seems a good solution, in the end.

I am the tanka.

The attention of others

Is unnerving, and

Since I try not to draw it,

I'm left alone. Which is good.

hmmm, I kind of think a combo of the two might better describe me.. I do not know *shrug* Neither are particularly bad either.

I am the sonnet, never quickly thrilled; Not prone to overstated gushing praise

Nor yet to seething rants and anger, filled With overstretched opinions to rephrase;

But on the other hand, not fond of fools, And thus, not fond of people, on the whole;

And holding to the sound and useful rules, Not those that seek unjustified control.

I'm balanced, measured, sensible (at least, I think I am, and usually I'm right);

And when more ostentatious types have ceased, I'm still around, and doing, still, alright. In short, I'm calm and rational and stable - Or, well, I am, as much as I am able.

(If you were not a Sonnet you would be Heroic Couplets.)

I am heroic couplets; most precise And fond of order. Planned and structured. Nice.

I know, of course, just what I want; I know, As well, what I will do to make it so.

This doesn't mean that I attempt to shun Excitement, entertainment, pleasure, fun;

But they must keep their place, like all the rest; They might be good, but ordered life is best.

If not a heroic couplet then a blank verse. Which I think is correct and describes me to a tea.

I am, of course, none other than blank verse.

I don't know where I'm going, yes, quite right;

And when I get there (if I ever do)

I might not recognise it. So? Your point?

Why should I have a destination set?

I'm relatively happy as I am,

And wouldn't want to be forever aimed

Towards some future path or special goal.

It's not to do with laziness, as such.

It's just that one the whole I'd rather not

Be bothered - so I drift contentedly;

An underrated way of life, I find.

I am free verse

No confinements have I

I get where I need to be

But my methods are mine

Though I follow few rules

I'm a caring, good soul

I just need to be free

To be the best that I can.

That is the most inaccurate thing I have heard in my life. Let's see what my runner-up says...

Also quite inaccurate. Oh well. Next quiz.

I am the descort, and thwart, and long

for discordant, mordant chaos;

See the pretty dissolution,

See the ditty pattern briefly then

Dissolve away

Into a

Newer

Mode of messy disagreeable

(but me-able)

Affray, with lovely spite and hating,

Fights and hurting,

Never abating.

(Quite contrary me.)

(If you were not a Descort you would be Ottava Rima.)
