fenriz275 0 Posted October 8, 2004 I know at work it can really seem like I'm in a rut, real quick. It helps me to take time off if I can. Sometimes if it's possible it also helps to do something at work that's different than my normal job, even if it's only for a few hours. Still, it is work, if they didn't pay me I doubt I'd be there. Odie 0 Posted October 8, 2004 I have a journal at home and when I am in a rut I would write down all my feeling and thought until it is out of my system.
Valeris 2 Posted October 8, 2004 I have been in a rut for a while. I cannot really say how to get out, or I would be out. I think that a rut is a period where you are not happy on a day-to-day basis, you are not living up to your fullest potential, you have apathy towards life itself. Different things in life can get one to that stage, be they little or small. It really all depends on exactly what your rut is- a small depression in the dirt or a three mile deep pit?
