A l t e r E g o 9 Posted September 22, 2004 Usually mine is lightning fast, could not ask for it to be any faster, click something and faster than I could say POW! the page is loaded. Do you get the same kind of performance? Just wondering...
Mike 5 Posted September 22, 2004 Yeah, usually my connection is lightening fast too..However, I have found that there are days that the pages load slowly..That was happening to me yesterday..I don't have an explanation..Today everything seems to be back to the flash it usually is.. :)
Jeanway 0 Posted September 22, 2004 (edited) Barring any internal errors in my computer loading ranges from instantanious to 10 minutes. Depends on how busy the server is . But the average time is about 3 minutes. But my ISP is the cheapest one so it's ok. I'm usually in no big hurry anyway. You get what you pay for I guess. If that's what you want, not to wait. I don't really care as long as I get here eventually. :) Edited September 22, 2004 by Jeanway
Theunicornhunter 2 Posted September 22, 2004 How slow is my connection would be a better question but I am poor so as Jeanway said - you get what you pay for.
Angela 1 Posted September 22, 2004 mine is downright fast but then that comes of a 700+kbps connection
VaBeachGuy 12 Posted September 23, 2004 You gotta love a cable modem, nothing beats a nice T1 though (nothing that I've ever used anyway). It makes you wonder why Dial Up modems are still stuck at 56k

Odie 0 Posted September 23, 2004 I have DSL and its very fast. I like it very much. There are days when its a little slow, but mostly is how many people are on the serve at the time. Overall I like DSL.
Ace 0 Posted September 23, 2004 On campus = cable (fast) At home = I'm lucky to get 28 kbps. :)
He Who Shall Not Be Named 2 Posted September 23, 2004 I have a DSL connection at home and a T-1 line at work. The ironic thing is because of our firewall at work I have a faster connection at home.
BakulaBabe 2 Posted September 23, 2004 We have DSL, and it's pretty fast - when it works. :) It can take up to 20 - 30 seconds to download most of the pages here, though. Don't know if that's good or bad. :)

Jeanway 0 Posted November 13, 2004 My connection is much faster if I do regular maintenance. Especially a defrag and 'Through' Disk-clean-up regularly.
