I am having the best day I have had in I don't know how long. It's not even anything in particular, just everything today has been so peaceful and relaxing. My Dad and brother visited for a while this morning and my brother was very sweet and mowed and raked my lawn for me since Robert's having health problems and I just really hate using lawn mowers. Then me and the kids had a picnic lunch out back since it was warm and sunny today. The neighbors were BBQing and the whole street smells like citrus trees right now, plus the smell of the fresh cut grass. Just an all around great day. I'm not gonna stay online though tonight, I've got a lot of reading to get caught up on, and I just don't feel like sitting in front of the computer anyway.

 

I just got done talking to a man selling non-denominational books about the Bible door to door. We sat and talked for about an hour and it was a wonderful conversation. Funny though, he started by saying "Don't worry I'm not Mormon or Jehovah's Witness". I didn't mean to but I had to laugh at that a little. When I told him I was one of Jehovah's Witnesses he turned bright red. The poor guy, I didn't mean to embarrass him. :unsure: Anyway, we talked about Jesus life and the books of Daniel and Revelation, which happen to be both of our favorite books of the Bible so there was something in common to talk about right away. We didn't agree on everything but we did agree on a lot. I just love talking to somebody who will sit with you and actually look in the Bible to explain their beliefs and listen to you explain yours with an open mind. And he said it was the first time he'd ever actually spoken with one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He took a Watchtower magazine that he thought looked really interesting. Which is funny since he came to my door selling products and ended up leaving with a magazine. I invited him back when Robert would be home since we had such a nice conversation, so hopefully I'll see him again.

 

Anyway, Paul's waking up from his nap and Rachael will be up soon, so I'm going to catch up on a couple posts and go make dinner and do some reading and probably go to bed early tonight. *hugs* to everyone. Hope everybody else is having as good a day as I am.

Man, that sounds like lots of fun, its 5 degrees here but the wind chill makes it fell likes its -15 RC you would be a popsicle up here. Well I hope tomorrow is the same fun as today for you RC

Yhea it was fun today except it was 6 inchs of snow. Did a 360 on the way home today, not pretty. Man I really want to have a picnic in the sun right now with 70-80 degree weather.

*shivers at the thought* I love the southwest. It was in the low 70's/upper 60's today. Spent all day out back watching the kids play in the sprinklers then went for a nice walk before sunset. There's no way I could ever live where there are really cold winters.

-25 today, I thought about going to go outside in shorts. I am sick don't know why I have been sick for 3 days today is a little better but I should not be sick for three days I am useally sick for one day than I am all better for the rest of the year.

I feel old. I just found myself venting about these damn kids today thinking they know everything. I was one of them not very long ago. :P I'll probably look back when I'm 36 and be disgusted with myself now.

I am 31 and I tring not to do that myself. Yeah, I almost did that when I had to babysit some of the trouble makers on base. One of them was my CO's son. Joy.

Thanks. :( It's just a hernia surgery. Nothing major but it makes me nervous. I needed some time offline anyway, I'm getting a lot of reading done. B)

well i know about the hernia thing, it'll be fine, he'll be walking with a bit of a hunch for a while. quite painfully, but none the less it'll be fine. hope you have a good new year, and all goes well for you.

Just a quick update. Robert's surgery went well and he's recovering nicely. He's still sore but he's supposed to start gradually resuming normal activity so we're going shopping today. He still can't lift anything over 20 pounds for 6 weeks which is tricky cause the kids don't understand why daddy can't pick them up.

 

We managed to get Robert an almost front row, dead center ticket for the Motley Crue concert in March B) and we got center grand tier seats for opening night of Phantom of the Opera in June. I was sure those seats would be sold out, glad I bought them early. I need to get a new dress for that. I'm not real thrilled with any of my formal summer dresses right now.

 

Ok, I need to go get the kids dressed so we can go out. I still won't be online much (if at all) till Robert goes back to work on the 5th. TTFN

Robert's the exact opposite, he HATES being taken care of. He likes to be the one taking care of everyone. Which works out fine because I woke up today sick as a dog. So now he's all happy taking care of me and feeling useful again. He's so cute. :) And he's recovering much faster then he was expected to. He hasn't taken any kind of painkiller in 2 days, says he feels fine except for a little tightness. He's all out getting an oil change and doing the shopping today. He's being good about not lifting though. I think I married superman.

Thanks. He's wonderful Lursa. B) My sister's said a few times he could get rich if he opened a husband training school. B) And the best part of all this is during his down time he finally grew the beard I've been wanting him to grow for years. He looks soooo hot. B)

 

I'm still really sick so I'm going to work on a graphic request and a banner request and then get offline and go read all day. I don't really feel like doing much else.
