RikerChick's Personal Logs

Well I can mark tonight down as the most terrifying night of my life. The police just left my house about 20 minutes ago. We couldn't find Rachael anywhere. One minute she was playing in her room and the next we're tearing the house apart calling her, searching the back yard, searching the garage, she's nowhere and we're not getting any reply. Robert got in the car and was going through the neighborhood with a flashlight calling her. I called 911 and they had cars out looking for her with their search lights within 2 minutes *huggles wonderful police and wonderful 911 dispatcher who calmed me down* Get this, she had crawled under our bed and fell asleep.   :P  :P I was shaking so bad when I found her I could barely pick her up. I've only just now managed to stop crying and my hands are still shaking.

And just to add to the fun tonight, I'm watching the firetrucks driving down our street right now and there's smoke everywhere. It looks like one of the stores across the street is on fire. Wow the smell of smoke is really strong *holds nose*

*massive huggles to both of you* :P :o Boy what a night. I'm guessing it was a trash dumpster fire cause they seem to have put it out quickly. Boy it reeks of smoke even inside the house. I think I'm all calmed down now. :(

Thanks Debbie and Delta. :sweatdrop: I spent all morning just hugging her and telling her she better never scare mommy and daddy like that again. I'm sure she thinks we're nuts since she slept through it all. :naughty:

I just read what happened with your daughter over the weekend and I'm very glad you found her safe and sound under your bed. I have had those moments of panic in my life with my own kids so I can relate. :fear:

Well today started out really crappy, but in the end I found out who my real friends are and I just love them to pieces. *massive hugs* :( So today was not a total loss. Robert starts his new job tomorrow which also means our new health care kicks in tomorrow thank goodness. And the weather's cooling off in Phoenix. It's been hanging around the 90's this week but it should start cooling down even more by next week. Gee isn't this a thrilling log entry? Anyway, I leave you with the hottie pic I'm currently melting over. :(
